Groundhog Level

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Players who went on the first dinner break are now back in their seats and playing level 6.

All the players will reconvene for level 7 in 75 minutes.

Liv Suffers a Blow

Tam PokerStars Pro Live Boeree opened the hand with a raise to 1,000 in the early position and Ugnius Simelionis re-raised to 2,000 on the button. Action folded back around to Boeree and she made the call.

The flop went {8-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} and Simelionis continued for 3,000. Boeree re-raised to 6,200 and Simelionis called.

The dealer flipped {2-Clubs} on the turn and both players checked. They did the same on the {8-Spades} river. Boeree showed {6-} {7-} and Simelionis opened the {10-} {10-} for a winning two pair.

Break Time!

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

All players are on a 15 minute break. Then the other half on the room who've been on dinner break (tables 1-18) will come back and play out the level while Tables 19 and above get their 75 minute dinner break.

Hruby Hunted Down

Martin Hruby has been eliminated. The Team PokerStars Pro raised to 900 from under the gun and was called in two spots before a player in the small blind squeezed to 3,200.

The action was back on Hruby and he moved his last 15,150 in to the middle. PokerStars qualifier Carlos Mora Alvarez, in the next seat along, was the only player to call.

Hruby: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Alvarev: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to miss the Czech's hand completely.

Oscar-Winning Performance

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Philipp Teipel check-called a bet of 5,200 on the turn from Oscar Kemps on a {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades} board before Kemps sighed and checked back the {5-Hearts} river.

Teipel showed a cheekily slowplayed {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for the nuts while Kemps flashed a missed monster draw of {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Another One for Boeree

Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree seems to be getting in shape as the tournament progresses. She bet 1,500 on the board reading {3-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} and was called by Konstantin Uspenskiy from Russia in the early position.

Both players checked the {J-Spades} on the turn and Boeree went in for 3,100 on the {Q-Clubs} river and Uspenskiy made the call. Boeree showed {J-Spades} {10-} for a two pair which was good enough to win the pot.
