Elias Gutierrez Hernandez Eliminated in 15th Place (€34,650)

Spain's Elias Gutierrez Hernandez just got eliminated from the tournament after he shoved his 796,000 stack from the hijack seat and was called by Jonathan Karamalikis.

Showdown

Hernandez: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}
Karamalikis: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}

The {5-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds} board was not what Hernandez needed and he hit the rail in 15th place for a cash prize of €34,650.

Fatima Moreira de Melo Elimated in 16th Place (€34,650)

Fatima Moreira de Melo' - 16th Place

"Queens again!" said Fatima Moreira de Melo after her all in push was called by Anaras Alekberovas.

She was under-the-gun and paused to consider her move before pushing her remaining 601,000 over the line. The action folded around to Alekberovas in the big blind and he snapped.

Alekberovas: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Moreira De Melo: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. A jack was not enough to save the Team PokerStars SportStar.

Cracked Queens Send Piazuelo to the Rail

Javier Piazuelo
Javier Piazuelo

Over at the feature table, Javier Piazuelo found himself all in preflop holding {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and at risk against the {9-Spades}{8-Spades} of Antonin Duda. The former was primed for a double, but the {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{K-Spades} flop made things very interesting as it gave Duda an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw.

Much to Piazuelo's dismay, the {3-Spades} turn completed his opponent's flush and left him drawing dead. The {A-Clubs} was put out on the river and then Piazuelo exited in 17th place for €29,400.

The remaining players are now on a 20-minute break as they draw for new seats.

Alekberovas Dispatches Canavese

The betting details escaped us, but we do know that Mauro Canavese was all in after the {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop for nearly a million with {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and up against the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} of Anaras Alekberovas.

Neither the {3-Hearts} turn nor {2-Spades} river gave Canavese the club he needed, and he became the 18th-place finisher for €29,400.

Big Win for Alekberovas

Poland's Mikolaj Zawadzki raised to 61,000 from the small blind preflop and Lithuanian Anaras Alekberovas three-bet to 141,000 from the big blind. Zawadzki contradicted pushing in 220,000 and Alekberovas called.

Zawadzki led for 175,000 after the flop went {4-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} and Alekberovas made the call. The {5-Clubs} on the turn was followed by a 260,000 bet from the Pole and the Lithuanian answered with a call.

Zawadzki checked the {Q-Diamonds} on the river and after running his eyes through his own and his opponents' stacks Alekberovas fired another 260,000. Zawadzki didn't like that at all, but eventually made the call. He soon got even more disappointed as Alekberovas flipped {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}, Zawadzki mucked and saw the dealer take a bunch of his chips away.
