Inge Forsmo is just smashing his opponents at the table scooping one pot after another. First he four-bet to 121,000 on the button before the flop after Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 26,000 in the middle position and then Jason Tompkins three-bet to 59,000 in the hijack seat. Both Timoshenko and Tompkins folded and Forsmo collected the pot.
Then on the very next hand Forsmo three-bet to 66,000 in the cutoff seat after Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 26,000 from under the gun. Timoshenko let off his hand and Forsmo flipped 8-3 offsuit.
Things have been going good for Inge Forsmo over the last couple of days, and he shows no sign of slowing down.
In a recent hand, Forsmo opened for 25,000 and was met with a three-bet to 55,000 by Mauro Mancin. The rest of the field got out of the way, Forsmo four-bet to 125,000, and Mancin moved all in for 386,000. Forsmo made the call an it was off to the races.
Showdown
Mancin:
Forsmo:
Mancin got his money in good, but his face dropped a bit when the flop fell to give Forsmo the lead. Neither the turn nor river provided relief for Mancin, and he was bounced from the Main Event.
On a monotone flop of , Charly Maracchione checked to Luca Moschitta who fired out 29,000. Eric Nhouyvanisvong flat called only to have Maracchione check-raise all in. Moschitta let go of his cards and Nhouyvanisvong called.
Nhouyvanisvong:
Maracchione:
Nhouyvanisvong was behind and looking for a club to make the nuts. The turn was of no help to him and neither was the river. Nhouyvanisvong was sent to the rail while Maracchione has boosted his stack to 550,000.
Action folded around to Iulian Ruxandescu in the small blind and he asked for a count of Justin Bonomo in the big. "I haven't looked yet, but it feels like queens," Bonomo said of his hand before telling Ruxandescu he had approximately 160,000.
Ruxandescu then moved all in, and Bonomo looked at his cards before quickly calling.
Showdown
Bonomo:
Ruxandescu:
While it wasn't queens, Bonomo had woke up with an even more powerful hand. The flop paired Ruxandescu, but he needed more help if he hoped to eliminated a tough competitor. The was useless, and so was the , which meant Bonomo received a much-needed double.
Erik Olofsson pushed his stack of 134,000 from the big blind before the flop and Artem Metalidi answered in the hijack seat.
Showdown:
Olofsson:
Metalidi:
Metalidi had Olofsson covered, but needed to hit the board to eliminate the Swede. The flop went pairing Metalidi's jack and putting Olofsson on the verge of elimination. The on the turn made not change, while the on the river gave Metalidi trips sending Olofsson to the rail.
There's people who play with heart and passion, and then there's another level above and beyond, that's saved for Ludovic Lacay.
The Frenchman opened from the hijack and bet the flop. Francesco Lorenzini peeled from the big blind and called the c-bet.
On the turn the board read and Lorenzini check-called a 125,000 bet. The river fell and Lacay shoved for 434,000 when the action was checked to him for a third time.
Lorenzini had 481,000 back so the call was effectively for his tournament life. He thought for five minutes and then folded after Lacay called the clock on him.
Before Lacay dragged all the chips in he opened his holding of !
We caught up to see the remnants of a hand where Artem Litvinov was able to get his stack of 169,000 all in against Ismael Bojang. Bojang held against Litvinov's on a board of .
The rest of the board fell and and Litvinov was able to double up with Broadway.
Tiziano Mosca moved all in under the gun for 210,000 and received a call from Francesco Lorenzini in the hijack. The rest of the field got out of the way and the cards were turned on their back.
Showdown
Mosca:
Lorenzini:
Mosca was looking for either an ace or some diamonds, but he would be left wanting as the board ran out . With that, Mosca took his leave just shy of the dinner break; meanwhile, Matteo Colantoni was eliminated one table over.
