Lezzi Flops The Nuts and Gets Paid Off

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

It must be nice to flop the nuts in a raised pot, something that just happened to Frenchman Antony Lezzi.

Ari Engel raised to 1,100 in early position and his only caller was Lezzi, who was seated in the big blind. The dealer got busy putting the first three community cards on show, {6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Without any hesitation, Lezzi lead into Engel with a 1,500 bet and Engel called.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Lezzi lead again, this time increasing his bet to 3,100 and again Engel called. The {4-Clubs} river completed the community cards and Lezzi bet again, 4,200 was the amount.

Engel looked pained in his decision making, giving a sarcastic smile to his opponent before shaking his head. Eventually, Engel tossed in a single 5,000 chip and called.

Lezzi flipped over {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flopped nuts and a disappointed Engel mucked his hand.
