Brooks Cripples Pinho

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The last remaining Team PokerStars Pro Henrique Pinho has been crippled. Simon Brooks moved all in preflop for about 60,000 and Pinho moved all in behind him for 75,000. The Portuguese player was very disappointed to see he was so far behind.

Brooks: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Pinho: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Board: {7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} - Brooks surviving a sweat after that flop to double into six figures.

Jorgensen's Run Over

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Theo Jorgensen
Theo Jorgensen

Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen had been waiting for a stop to move his chips into the middle and finally got it when it was folded around to him in the cutoff.

Paul Berende then reraised all in from the button and the blinds folded.

"Mine are suited," said the Dane.

Jorgensen: {Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Berende: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The board came bereft of any clubs, treys or queens: {5-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

The pair shook hands and Berende has a fairly solid stack as a result.

Vachar's Queens Cracked

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We missed the exact action, but we do know that Ziv Vachar got his stack all in preflop holding the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and was in great shape against the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of Thomas Muhlocker.

Vachar, who was one of the short stacks at the start of the day, was primed to double, but the {3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop had other ideas. Muhlocker spiked an ace and left Vachar drawing to a single out. Not surprisingly, the {J-Diamonds} turn wasn't it and neither was the {A-Diamonds} river.

Quoss Earns a Small Payday

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Fabian Quoss
Fabian Quoss

The eliminations are coming fast and furious now that the bubble has burst. One of the first to go was high-stakes regular Fabian Quoss.

It happened when action folded to the German in the cutoff and he shipped for his last 23,000 or so. The button and small blind both folded, but [Removed:203] opted to look him up from the big.

Mueller: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Quoss: {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Quoss was dominated, and the {6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} flop didn't do him any favors as Mueller hit two pair. Quoss needed running cards to stay alive, but the {7-Hearts} turn took away any chance of that happening. The meaningless {8-Diamonds} was run out on the river for good measure and Quoss collected his satchel before making his way to the payout desk to collect a min-cash.

Baumann Busto

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Right after the bubble burst Gaelle Baumann raised with {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} and was called by Peter Charalambous in the big blind.

The flop brought {4-Clubs}{5-}{8-Clubs} and Charalambous check-raised all in getting quickly called by Baumann.

Charalambous showed {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and the turn brought the {8-Hearts} and the river the {5-Clubs} giving the Brit a flush. The French poker pro notched up a min cash after surviving the bubble stages with a stack of around 60,000 chips.

Antos Doubles as Lewzey Busts

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

While Steven Lewzey was going all in at a neighboring table, Josef Antos put his tournament life on the line as well.

Antos opened to 8,000, Manuel Bevand put in a three-bet to 17,000, and Antos moved all in for 107,000. Bevand called, leaving roughly 115,000 behind, and both players were told to keep their cards facedown.

The cameras in the area were all focused on Lewzey's all-in hand, when Bevand leaned over the table.

"I have tens," he murmured to Antos, expecting an answer in return.

Antos didn't disclose the contents of his hand, rather he gave a shrug.

When Lewzey's hand was complete, and he was eliminated, Antos slowly turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a pair of jacks. Bevand laughed, then showed his tens - {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. If Bevand could make a set of tens, a straight, or a spade flush, Antos would split 87th-place money with Lewzey.

The jacks held up though as the board came {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{k-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{2-Spades}, and Antos doubled to over 200,000 chips.

Steven Lewzey Bubbles EPT London

Steven Lewzey bubbles the EPT London Main Event

On table 33, Steven Lewzey was all in on a flop of {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} with Ziv Vachar and Kuljinder Sidhu having both called; a mass of cameras surrounding the table.

Vachar checked the innocuous-looking {2-Hearts} on the turn and Sidhu bet 17,000. Vachar made the call to see the {K-Hearts} on the river before checking again as Lewzey looked glumly onwards.

Sidhu fired a 27,000 bet this time and Vachar folded. Lewzey tabled a missed {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Sidhu quickly turned over {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} for a big pot.

Lewzey was knocked out and a round of applause rippled through the room as everyone else still involved in the tournament is now guaranteed at least £9,080.
