Schemion Bluffs With the Best Hand

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

From under-the-gun Julian Track raised it up to 180,000 with {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, it folded to Ole Schemion in the small blind, he had bigger suited connectors, and three-bet to 475,000 with {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, it folded to Track and he made a very quick call.

On the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} flop Schemion continuation bet 360,000 and Track called. The {Q-Spades} fell on the turn Schemion bet 625,000 and after Track folded Schemion showed the 'bluff'.

Schemion Flops a Set

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Ka Kwan Lau opened under the gun to 170,000 with {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and received calls from Ole Schemion on the button ({10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}) and Julian Track in the big blind ({6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}).

The flop was good for Schemion in that it gave him a set: {10-Clubs}{K-Spades}{A-Hearts}. It was also bad for him in that none of his opponents had anything at all. They checked to him and after his 250,000 bet both gentlemen folded.

Chip Counts

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Max Silver Getting Short on Chips

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Max Silver is now the short stack after losing a big pot to Julian Track and as a result the German is now closing in on 10 million chips.

From the cut off Track raised to 180,000 with {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Silver just called from the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

On the {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop Track continuation bet 200,000 and Silver called. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} giving Silver the nut flush draw, he rechecked his cards, then checked as did Track. The river was the {6-Clubs}, Silver decided to bet his missed draw and fired out a bet of 480,000 and after a couple of minutes Track made the call.

His hand was good and Silver is now down to 1,450,000.

Max : 1,450,000
Track: 9,925,000

Lau Wins a Three-Way Pot

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

From under-the-gun Max Silver raised to 160,000 with {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, Georgios Sotiropoulos called on the button with {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} as did Lau with {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} in the big blind On the {5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop Lau led into Silver for 200,000 and both players folded. Pot to Lau.

Zdravko Duvnjak Eliminated in 7th Place (€118,200)

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Zdravko Duvnjak
Zdravko Duvnjak

Kroatian player Zdravko Duvnjak open shoved from the cutoff. He got a call from Ole Schmion in the big blind and a 2.8 million pot was at stake. Schemion showed {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} which dominated the hearts Duvnjak had as well with {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

The {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop was as bad as they could come for Duvnjak. After the {K-Spades} on the turn Duvnjak was already drawing dead and he shook hands with the players before exiting the stage. The {4-Spades} on the river was just a formality.

Zdravko Duvnjak takes home €118,200. He told us he's thinking about going to the PCA in January so we might see him there.

Bet, Bet, Bet - Chidwick and Sotiropoulos Change Position

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick in the hijack opened to 180,000 and got looked up by Georgios Sotiropoulos on the button. Chidwick had {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} and flopped better than Sotiropoulos' {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Chidwick bet 200,000 and got a call. The same procedure we saw on the {3-Spades}-turn; Chidwick bet (525,000) and Sotiropoulos called. The river {K-Spades} made Chidwick bet 875,000. Sotiropoulos took his time but eventually folded.

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Georgios Sotiropoulos
Georgios Sotiropoulos

Two double ups in quick succession for Georgios Sotiropoulos as he just doubled up against Max Silver.

Zdravko Duvnjak raised to 160,000 with {10-Spades}{9-Spades} from under-the-gun+1, Max Silver then three-bet to 350,000 from the hijack with {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}. It passed to Sotiropoulos, he peaked down at {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and moved all-in for 2,440,000. After Duvnjak folded Silver made the call to put Sotiropoulos at risk .

The board was a rollercoaster {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} as Silver took the lead on the flop and Sotiropoulos re-sucked on the turn.

Sotiropoulos Doubles Through Chidwick

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened to 160,000 with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} on the button. Ole Schemion quickly folded his small blind but Georgios Sotiropoulos in the big blind went for it with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. He shoved his stack into the middle and Chidwick made the instant call.

Chidwick his ace was again dominated. The {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{A-Spades} flop helped both make a pair but the situation was unchanged. The {J-Clubs} on the turn was everything but a blank but the {A-Diamonds} effectively was. Both made trips but the kicker still played.
