Nuutinen hails from Tampere, the second biggest city in Finland, and considers himself “almost” a professional poker player. He has a job and he says he works there "sometimes" but he earns a good living from poker.
Nuutinen’s best live cash so far was in the 2009 Midnight Sun Main Event in Helsinki where he finished third for €66,833. Last year he finished tenth in the EPT Prague Main Event for €53,000 ... this year he has already cashed in the Eureka High Roller, making the final and finishing fifth for €45,500. He also won the €1,000 Heads-Up event at EPT9 Barcelona for €22,500. Reaching this year’s final brings his live tournament winnings to more than $400,000.
