Jaka Dodges Some

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Faraz Jaka is on his seconds bullet but he just dodged a few to give himself a nice double up. The action started when Kevin MacPhee raised to 2,700 from the hijack and Jaka three-bet to 7,800 from his immediate left. The action was folded back to MacPhee who made the call.

The flop brought {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and MacPhee check-called 5,300. On the turn the {9-Diamonds} hit and MacPhee checked again. This time Jaka bet 12,500 and MacPhee threw in a large stack of chips to put his opponent all in. Jaka called all in for 32,400 total and the cards were turned on their backs.

Kevin MacPhee: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Faraz Jaka: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The river brought the {3-Hearts} and Jaka dodged some outs for his double up. MacPhee was left behind with a healthy stack but he will have to worry a bit more about the player to his left.

Ramin Hood

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Ramin Hajiyev & Eugene Katchalov
Ramin Hajiyev & Eugene Katchalov

Is Ramin Hajiyev the Robin Hood of Azerbaijan? At his table he's taking off the rich and giving to the poor.

He opened to 2,700 from the cut-off and called when Eugene Katchalov three-bet to 6,500 from the next seat. Both players checked the {7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Spades} flop before a 8,000 lead from Hajiyev on the {3-Spades} turn was enough for the Team Pro to fold.

The next hand Hajiyev raised to 2,700 and called when Viacheslav Goryachev moved all in for 8,600 from the small blind.

Hajiyev: {6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Goryachev: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board ran {j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades} to double Goryachev up.

Seiver Unstoppable

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The mystery with the seat cards has not been fully solved yet hence why we do not have the name of the unfortunate gentleman who just lost a massive pot against Scott Seiver.

We picked up the action on the turn when the board read {J-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Seiver checked to his opponent who bet 10,200. Seiver raised it up to 32,000 and his opponent made the call.

On the river the {10-Diamonds} hit and Seiver put out a hefty 54,000-chip bet.

"You have 102,000, if that's what you're looking for," Seiver grinned as his opponent was looking down to his stack.

Eventually Seiver's opponent called and mucked when he saw the American pro turn over {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

The Value of Silver is Rising, Man

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Steve Silverman is over 200,000 after getting in good against his neighbour.

He opened from the cut-off with {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and called when the button shoved for 19,700 with {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. The board ran {2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} to see the ace-king hold.

There are a lot of chips on this table to play for.

Van Til Runs into Aces

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Ramin Hajiyev just told us how Johan van Til moved all in for 18,000 chips with {9-}{9-}. Hajiyev had an easy decision with pocket aces and he made an end to the Dutchman's tournament.
