Sixes are Good

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

AP Phahurat opened to 6,000 in middle position, Vojtech Ruzicka who just won the EPT Deauville High Roller, called out of the small blind, and the flop fell {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Ruzicka checked, Phahurat continued for 6,000, and Ruzicka called. The turn was the {8-Spades}, Ruzicka checked again, and Phahurat tossed out another 10,800. Ruzicka check-raised to 31,600, Phahurat re-raised to 53,200m, and Ruzicka tank-called.

The river was the {9-Diamonds}, and both players immediately checked. Phahurat showed {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a pair of sixes, and won the pot.

Kabrhel Scoops Huge Pot From Benger

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Griffin Benger opened to 6,100 from early position only to be three-bet to 15,400 by Martin Kabrhel from two seats over. The rest of the table folded and when action was back on Benger he flung out a call.

The dealer fanned {5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{J-Hearts} on the felt and Benger checked. Kabrhel continued big for 21,700 and Benger stuck around. The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Benger checked once again. Kabrhel moved 52,800 into the center. After some thinking, Benger stuck around.

The river paired the board for a second time with the {j-Diamonds}. Benger checked for a third time and Kabrhel thought long and hard before firing 50,000 straight. Benger called.

Kabrhel rolled over {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Benger flung his cards away. The pot was pushed to Kabrhel who is now over 370,000 in chips.

Smith Gone Too

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

We missed the action but can report that Dan Smith has been eliminated from play at the hands of an unknown opponent. Smith's pocket nines could not improve over his opponent's pocket jacks.

Seiver Busts Mandavia

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Artem Litvinov opened to 6,800 from under the gun +1. It folded to Scott Seiver's button and he flat called the bet. Ankush Mandavia three-bet shoved all in from the small blind for roughly 85,000 and Litvinov went into the tank.

After about a minute of deliberation, Litvinov decided the best course of action was to fold. Seiver called and the hands were turned over.

Seiver: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Mandavia: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

"UGH!" lamented Litvinov. "I had jacks! I folded jacks!"

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

"Whew!" continued Litvinov. "Good fold!"

Seiver was out in the lead and stayed that way through the {8-Hearts} turn and the {5-Clubs} river. Mandavia was sent packing and Seiver was able to scoop up the pot. He's now sitting on about 290,000.

Lim On Fire

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

The board read {J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Aaron Lim bet 16,500 into an already sizable pot. Start-of-day chip leader Ronny Voth flat called to find the {2-Clubs} hit the river.

Lim bet 22,500 and Voth went into the tank for well over one minute. He came out with a raise to 62,500. Lim wasted no time calling.

Voth showed {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for ace-high. Lim rolled over {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a diamond flush and was able to drag the pot.

Lykov vs. Phahurat

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Max Lykov and AP Phahurat were heads up on a flop of {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Spades}. Phahurat check-called a 6,000-chip bet from the Team Pro, and both players checked after the {10-Spades} turned.

The {9-Spades} completed the board, Phahurat led out for 23,000, Lykov raised to 59,000, and Phahurat tanked for a bit before re-raising to well over 100,000. Lykov sat quietly for over a minute, then called.

Phahurat ripped over {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} like it was the stone-cold nuts, even though it was just ace-high, and Lykov paused for a bet before showing {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for a full house.

The very next hand, Lykov opened to 5,000 in the cutoff, and Phahurat three-bet to 13,000 out of the small blind. Lykov called.

The flop fell {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, Phahurat led out for 16,100, and Lykov called.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds}, Phahurat led out again - this time for 32,100 - and again, Lykov called.

The {3-Hearts} completed the board, and Phahurat fired a third and final bullet worth 75,700. Lykov folded, and Phahurat was pushed the pot.
