Frost Slow Plays Queens

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Lasse Frost
Lasse Frost

Lasse Frost has extended his lead at the top after slow playing queens.

Robert Haigh opened to 160,000 and was called by Frost and Pacal Vos in the blinds. All three players checked the {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop to head to the {6-Diamonds} turn.

Vos was the first to bet, for 175,000, and only Frost called to the {6-Diamonds} river where both players checked. Frost opened {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and took the pot with a smile as Vos mucked.

Haigh Chips Up

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Robert Haigh raised under the gun plus one to 160,000 and Daniel-Gai Pidun called from the button. The flop showed {5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and Haigh bet 240,000, Pidun called.

On the turn the {10-Spades} hit and Haigh fired out 540,000. Pidung gave it some thought and eventually folded.

A Dent in Frost's Stack

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Alexander Helbig has put a dent in the stack of Lasse Frost after getting two streets of value out of him.

Helbig opened to 180,000 from the cut-off and Frost called in position to see an {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop appear. Helbig continued for 200,000 and Frost called.

The turn came {2-Spades} and Frost called the second bullet of 275,000 before both players checked the {5-Hearts} river. Helbig opened {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and took the pot as Frost mucked.

Aliev Picks Up Crucial Pot

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Daniel-Gai Pidun
Daniel-Gai Pidun

Dashgyn Aliev has been playing an onorthodox short-stack style but so far it has been working for the Russian player. Daniel-Gai Pidun raised to 200,000 from early position and Aliev called from the small blind with just a few big blinds behind.

Flop brought {10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Aliev checked to Pidun who bet 160,000. Aliev took some time and check-raised all in after which Pidun snap-folded. Aliev picked some chips to bring him a lot closer to Julian Thomas
