As the title says, welcome to Day 1b of the EPT Deauville Main Event, where in a couple of ours some of the best poker players in the world will exchange €5,300 for 30,000 tournament chips and the chance to become an EPT champion.

As we write this opening post of today’s blog, an army of Team PokerStars Pros are sticking their patches to various parts of their clothes, preparing to show the poker world what they can do. Keep an eye out for updates on the likes of Liv Boeree, Vicky Coren and Jake Cody representing the UK; Nacho Barbero of Argentina; Dario Minieri of Italy and local heroes Julien Brecard and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier of France.

Of course, there are plenty of other big names who have made a the trip to Deauville including, former EPT champion Anton Wigg, Aviation Club de France owner Bruno Fitoussi, reigning EPT Berlin champion Davidi Kitai, Triple Crown chasing Dominik Nitsche, James Akenhead, Kevin MacPhee, and online superstar Ondrej Vinkalarek.

The tournament begins at 12:00 CET and will continue until eight 75-minute levels have been completed. Players, dealers and your Live Reporting team will be treated to a 20-minute break every two levels, with a 60-minute dinner break taking place at the end of Level 6.

Join us from midday for all the action, as it happens, from the EPT Deauville Main Event.
