Fabian Quoss raised to 700 preflop and Andrey Bondar made it 2,000 in the seat next to him. Quoss called to see a flop and then called a 2,500 bet from Bondar.
The turn was the and this time Quoss check-called a bet of 6,000 and the dealer put out a on the river. Quoss checked for a third time and Bondar moved all in for around 7,000 or so and again he was called.
Bondar showed and Quoss mucked allowing the former to double up.
Jason Wheeler opened to 800 from under the gun, Mike McDonald called in the hijack seat, and Marc-Andre Ladouceur called out of the small blind. The dealer fanned , Ladouceur checked, Wheeler continued for 1,300, and both of his opponents called.
The turn was a third heart - the - and again Ladouceur checked. Wheeler flicked out 1,550, McDonald atomic-dropped a call across the betting line, and Ladouceur let it go.
A fourth heart - the - completed the board, and Wheeler emptied the chamber, firing a third and final bullet worth 7,000. McDonald, who is usually quite stoic, adjusted in his seat and started stroking his non-existent beard. He sat quietly for 45 seconds or so, then folded.
Dori Yacoub opened to 800 in middle position, Olivier Busquet called from the cutoff, and Jason Mercier three-bet to 2,600 on the button. Yacoub put in a fourth bet, making it 4,950 to go, and only Mercier called.
The flop fell , and both players checked. The second the hit the felt on the turn, Yacoub fired 7,500. Mercier folded, and Yacoub picked up the pot.
Peter Jetten raised to 800 on the button, and both Kamal Choraria (small blind) and Ike Haxton (big blind) called. All three players checked on a flop of , and Choraria led out for 1,200 when the turned. Haxton raised to 4,000, Jetten folded, and Choraria folded the face up.
"You can see one," Haxton offered.
"No," Choraria decline. "I lost. I don't want to see."
Vicky Coren is up to 90,000 after she fired bets of 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 on the flop, turn and river of a board with Albert Daher check-calling her down from the small blind.
The Team PokerStars Pro showed and it was enough to win her another pot.
David Gent hasn't had the best of starts in the High Roller event so far, he fired a 3,200 bet on a flop but was called by Scott Seiver and the two checked down the turn and river.
