Our access to the feature table is limited, but we caught parts of two massive hands. In the first, Dimitar Danchev and Gautam Sabharwal were heads up on a board of . There was 155,000 in the middle, and Danchev moved all in for 145,000 over a 30,000-chip bet from Sabharwal. Sabharwal tanked for over three minutes, then called.
Danchev showed for a set of threes, and Sabharwal mucked.
A few hands later, Faraz Jaka eliminated Michael Tureniec. Jaka's cracked Tureniec's (we're not sure when the chips went in), and Tureniec was eliminated.
The high rollers are back from dinner and playing on into the night. The top 14 players will be paid but a long list of top names have already departed…
JC Alvarado opened to 12,000 from the cutoff seat, Yan Dion three-bet to 27.000 on the button, and Jeff Rossiter four-bet jammed for 105,500 from the big blind. Alvarado immediately folded, and Dion quickly called.
Dion:
Rossiter:
Rossiter held as the board ran out , doubling to over 200,000 chips.
Dion was left with just 50,000 or so, but doubled through Rossiter a few hands later. We unfortunately missed the action, but Dion had on a board of .
Paul Volpe opened preflop to 10,000 and Kamal Choraria moved all in for his last 50,000 or so. Volpe made an automatic call.
Volpe:
Choraria:
The flop seemed to seal things but the turn had Choraria excited (although his jacks were all dead). The on the river changed nothing and Choraria was out.
A double up and then some for Robert Haigh. Michel Dattani moved all in preflop for his short stack, Gruissem pushed behind him and Robert Haigh called off his stack from the blinds.
Dattani:
Gruissem:
Haigh:
There was no help on the board for any of the players and Haigh increased his stack.
Scott Seiver checked, Dimitary Danchev checked, and Olivier Busquet fired 15,000. Only Seiver called.
The turn was the suicide king (), and Seiver checked again. Busquet tossed out seven blue T5,000 chips, making it 35,000 to go, and Seiver moved all in for what looked like 190,000 or so.
Busquet sat stoically for a minute or so, then folded.
