Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Mike Watson - Eliminated
Mike Watson - Eliminated

Paul Volpe limped in from under the gun, Mike Watson raised to 20,000 in middle position, and the action folded back to Volpe, who back-raised to 40,000. Watson moved all in, and Volpe snap-called.

Volpe: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Watson: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The {8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop gave Watson a pair of kings, but the turn and river bricked {9-Spades}, {7-Diamonds} respectively.

Watson was eliminated, while Volpe is now over 700,000 chips.

Olivier Busquet - Eliminated

Fabian Quoss opened to 12,000, Albert Daher called on the button, Gautam Sabharwal called out of the small blind, and Olivier Busquet three-bet jammed from the big blind. Quoss re-shoved, and the other two players folded.

Quoss: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Busquet: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The queens held as the board ran out {2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and Busquet was eliminated.

Busquet Takes a Hit

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Olivier Busquet check-called a 33,000-chip bet from neighbor Fabian Quoss on a flop of {q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Busquet checked again once the {a-Spades} turned, and Quoss wagered another 50,000. Busquet called.

The river brought the {6-Spades}, both players checked, and Quoss won with {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for two-pair.

Sometimes The Bear Eats You

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mike Watson led out for 16,000 on a flop of {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Barry Greenstein raised to 35,000, and Watson made the call.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, Watson checked, and Greenstein tossed out 40,000. Watson made the call.

The {10-Clubs} completed the board, both players checked, and Greenstein flipped over {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} for two-pair. It was good.

Jaka Coming Back

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Albert Daher and Faraz Jaka were heads up on a board of {7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Daher moved all in for effectively 148,000, which was way more than the size of the pot, and Jaka tanked for quite some time before calling.

Daher went to muck his hand, prompting Jaka to open up {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, and Daher spun his cards into the muck. Jaka shot up to 440,000 chips, while Daher slipped to 360,000.

Dion's a Wanderer

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Fabian Quoss raised to 12,000 from the cutoff and Yann Dion pushed all in for about 110,000 on the button.

Quoss tanked and then called, Dion let out a sigh.

Quoss: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Dion: {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Dion was gone.

"Do you call with king-ten?" he asked Quoss.

"Yes, though I probably take even longer to call..." replied Quoss.

Dion Doubles

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Olivier Busquet opened to 12,000, and Yann Dion three-bet shoved for 43,500 more. The action folded back to Busquet, who tanked for roughly 60 seconds then called.

Busquet: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Dion: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The price was rice for Busquet, but he was in rough shape. The {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs} board produced two weak backdoor draws for Busquet, and it was all over when the {k-Hearts} turned. A meaningless {k-Clubs} completed the board, and Dion doubled.

Suck and Re-Suck

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Gautam Sabharwal raised to 12,000 out of the small blind, Joao Vieira three-bet all in for around 130,000 or so in the big blind, and Sabharwal tanked for 45 seconds or so before calling.

Sabharwal: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Vieira: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

There was a six in the window of the {2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop, prompting Sabharwal to throw his hands in the air in anguish, and his friends to groan loudly. The {7-Spades} on the turn gave Sabharwal a gut-shot straight draw, but it was the {9-Clubs} that spiked on the river to give him a winning set of nines.

His friends rejoiced on the rail as Vieira collected his things and exited. Sabharwal is back up to 335,000 chips.
