Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Gautam Sabharwal
Gautam Sabharwal

Anaras Alekberovas opened to 18,000 in middle position, Gautam Sabharwal three-bet to 40,000 on his direct left, and the action folded back to Alekberovas, who called.

The flop fell {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}, and Alekberovas checked. Sabharwal fired 60,000, and Alekberovas called.

The turn was the {10-Clubs}, Alekberovas checked again, and Sabharwal shoved all in for 275,000. Alekberovas tanked for well over two minutes, then called.

Alekberovas: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Sabharwal: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Alekberovas was drawing dead, and the {6-Clubs} completed the board. Sabharwal now sits with over 700,000 chips, while Alekberovas is no longer one of the leaders with 430,000.

Jaka Finds Another Double

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Faced with an open to 18,000 from Anaras Alekberovas, Faraz Jaka three-bet shoved for 76,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Alekberovas, who tank-called.

Alekberovas: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Jaka: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Jaka's jacks held when the board came {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, doubling him to around 155,000 chips. Alekberovas is still very health with 815,000 chips.

Eric Left Sfez-tering

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Having called a three-bet preflop, Gautam Sabharwal was facing an all in from Eric Sfez on a {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades} board. Initially it looked like Sabharwal was going to call but then he seemed to have talked himself out of it, finally he opted to call anyway.

Sfez: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Sabharwal: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {9-Diamonds} came on the turn, a two-outer for Sabharwal and Fez couldn't hit one of the remaining queens in the deck.

16 players still remain.

Jaka Clinging On

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

Faraz Jaka raised to 19,000 from middle position and Dimitar Danchev reraised to 56,000 from the blinds. Jaka moved all and Danchev called, simple as that really.

Jaka: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Danchev: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} - Jaka was left with just 47,000 remaining.

A couple of hands later, he pushed from the small blind for 35,000 and Nicolas Levi, himself fairly short, made the call.

Levi: {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Jaka: {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

This board was more exciting coming {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} as Jaka backdoored into a straight to survive.

Kitai Busts in Three-Way All-In Pot

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Davidi Kitai - Eliminated
Davidi Kitai - Eliminated

Scott Seiver open-shoved for 64,000 on the button, Davidi Kitai re-shoved for around 150,000 from the small blind, and Anaras Alekberovas called in the big blind.

Seiver: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Kitai: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Alekberovas: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The {j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop was very dry.

"This is the start to an epic comeback," Seiver announced.

Right on cue, the turn brought the {4-Hearts}, giving Kitai seven more outs to make a flush.

"Turn these into spades!" he said, grabbing Kitai's cards.

The {4-Diamonds} bricked on the river however, and Seiver tripled up. Kitai was eliminated by Alekberovas.

The players are now moving to the final two tables.

Online Legends paulgees81 and busto_soon Do Battle

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Paul "paulgees81" Volpe opened to 16,000 from under the gun, and Johan "busto_soon" van Til called on his direct left. The rest of the players folded, and the dealer fanned {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Volpe led out for 18,000, and van Til called.

The turn was the {9-Spades}, Volpe checked, and van Til fired 52,000. Volpe looked like he was going to check-raise to a large amount, but instead he tossed in a call.

The {q-Diamonds} completed the board, both players checked, and van Til turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for a pair of queens. Volpe shook his head, then mucked his hand.
