Be Careful What You Wish for/Predict

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Isn't it weird how you almost predict the future sometimes? One minute you're talking about it, the next thing it happens. James Dempsey and Manig Loeser were saying how they thought a three-bet battle between them might break out. Well it did, and some.

Loeser opened to 800 from the mid position before Dempsey three-bet to 2,700 from the small blind. The action was back on the German who four-bet to 5,425 before he jammed for 42,175 when Dempsey five-bet to 10,100. Call.

Loeser: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Dempsey: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board ran {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades} to make Loeser a full house. Demosey was left with around 4,000 chips.

Haxton Takes a Hit

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Ike Haxton
Ike Haxton

Georgios Karakousis opened to 800 in middle position, Shahaf Hadaya three-bet to 1,800 on the button, and Team PokerStars Online member Isaac Haxton cold-called in the big blind. Karakousis called as well, and the flop came {6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. The action checked to Hadaya, who fired 2,500, and only Haxton called.

The turn was the {q-Hearts}, both players checked, and the {4-Hearts} completed the board. The duo knuckled again, and Hadaya turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Haxton shook his head, then mucked his hand.

Don't Try Bacha Up Wheeler

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Guy Bachar and Jason Wheeler are butting heads at their table. One is chips leader and the other wants to be.

There was an open to 1,000 from Ravi Raghavan that Bachar treated to a three-bet to 2,300. Wheeler was in the big blind ans quickly put in a four-bet to 4,000. Raghavan folded but Bachar called to see a {2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Spades} flop appear.

Wheeler continued for 4,525 and and Bachar called to the {2-Clubs} turn. Wheeler reached for more chips, actually all 24,000 of his remaining chips, and threw them across the invisible line. Bachar snap folded.

Bachar didn't leave it at that though and came with a needle, "Now you feel so good about yourself, hero!"

"You would think I was a hero if you saw my cards!" came Wheeler's retort.

Gruissem Gets it Right

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

The flop showed {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and PokerStars Qualifier George Ana bet 1,600 into Philipp Gruissem. Ana was seated in the cutoff and Gruissem called from the button to get to the {10-Diamonds} turn.

Ana grabbed chips again and fired out 5,500 which put Gruissem deep into the tank. After about a minute he decided to make the call and the river brought the {5-Hearts}. Ana wasn't done firing as he put in another 7,000 while Gruissem only had 12,000 chips left.

Gruissem tanked for a very long time again and showed a very sour face as he made the call. Ana tapped on the table in defeat and showed {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Gruissem showed his {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and took down this pot which elevated him to 40,000 chips.

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Ilari Sahamies doubles
Ilari Sahamies doubles

According to Matthias De Meulder, he lost a 100,000-chip pot to Ilari Sahamies. De Meulder informed our Dutch blogger that the Finnish High Stakes opened to 1,100 from the hijack seat, and a third called on the button. The flop was {K-}{9-}{6-} rainbow, Sahamies continued for 1,800, and De Meulder raised to 4,150. The third player folded, Sahamies raised to 10,600, and De Meulder called.

The {8-} on the turn brought a possible flush draw, and Sahamies fired 12,000 with 18,000 behind. De Meulder put him all in, Sahamies called, and the hands were opened:

Sahamies:{7-}{5-}
De Meulder: {9-}{9-}

The river did not pair the board, and Sahamies doubled.

Reinkemeier Gifted Double Up

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Tobias Reinkemeier found a generous player to help him double up to 19,000.

He was heads up versus Rhys Jones to the turn of five-six-eight-deuce board and bet 1,600 with 5,000 behind. Jones set him in for that 5,000 with ten-nine and Reinkemeier called as he had flopped a straight with seven-nine. The river came a ten.
