Carlsson Gone

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

We see the flop {J-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and a suddenly short stacked Carl Carlsson moved all in for his last 15 big blinds. Alex Bilokur made the call with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and had to dodge tens, clubs and kings to score the knock out versus {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. The {2-Diamonds} turn and {8-Diamonds} river bricked for Carlsson and he has been eliminated.

Benger Bests Dion

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Yann Dion
Yann Dion

In a battle of the blinds, Yann Dion raised to 7,000 and Griffin Benger in the big blind three-bet to 19,000. Call from the fellow Canadian. On the {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop Benger called 21,000 and did so again on the {9-Hearts} turn for 28,000.

Dion then checked the {K-Diamonds} river and Benger tanked. He bet enough to put his opponent all in and Dion tank called with the {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} only to see his opponent flip over the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Jason Lavallee inquired about the play and Benger jokingly told him "I almost checked back the river because of the flush. But I had the ace of diamonds."

One hand later he limped the small blind against Dmitry Yurasov. The Russian raised and then called two barrels on the {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board. The Russian fired a third barrel for 56,500 and that was enough for Benger to tank fold.

Muhlocker and Dato get short

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

After a four way {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, Carl Carlsson took the lead with a 11,000 bet and one seat over, Thomas Muhlocker called. Konstantin Puchkov in the small blind check-raised to 36,000 and only Muhlocker made the call to see the {5-Spades} on the turn. Puchkov went instantly all in with 82,500 and the Austrian had about the same stack. He ended up tank folding.

Similar experience for Andrea Dato. The pot until the {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} river was almost tiny before Jason Lavallee bet 4,200. Dato raised to 15,200 and now Lavallee reraised to hefty 53,000. The Italian was confused and ultimately mucked his cards in the last hand before the break.

Kamel Back in the Game

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

From under the gun, Tamer Kamel raised to 5,500 and Philip Sternheimer defended his big blind. The Brit barrel twice on the {6-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop for 5,500 and the {A-Spades} turn for 13,000. Sternheimer check-called both times and then checked again. Kamel moved all in for ~ 62,000 and Sternheimer tank folded.

Yurasov vs. Dato

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Dmitry Yurasov
Dmitry Yurasov

After Griffin Benger opened from the cutoff and Dmitry Yurasov called from the button, Andrea Dato three-bet to 17,000 from the small blind. Benger folded, Yurasov called, and then both players checked the {5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop.

The {4-Hearts} turn saw Dato check-call a bet of 13,500, and the {5-Spades} completed the board on the river. Dato checked for a second time, and Yurasov kept the pressure on with a bet of 29,500. Dato hit the tank for several minutes before finally conceding the hand.
