French player Paul-Francois Tedeschi opened for 500 and met some resistance from Russian Yury Salinaev who raised him to 1,700. Tedeschi then made a gesture to see how much the Russian was playing. Salinaev showed him and responded in kind commenting that they both had similar sized 20k plus stacks.
Tedeschi four-bet to 3,450 and Salinaev bounced around in his chair for a bit before making it 7,200 total. Tedeschi quickly folded and went back to looking at his smartphone.
“I have internet too!” Salinaev cried, causing a few smiles around the table. Even Tedeschi couldn’t resist a little grin at this outburst.
