Antonius Tanks for 10 Minutes

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We just caught the end of a big in hand in which Finnish poker star Patrik Antonius went into the tank for well over 10 minutes, and well into the break, before folding in a huge pot.

The board showed {A-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{J-Spades} when Philipp Kober was all in for 176,000 from the small blind, Anthony Zinno shoved for 417,000 from the under-the-gun position and then the action was on Antonius.

The Finn eventually folded, and claimed he had {A-}{J-}, and the showdown went as following.

Zinno: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Kober: {2-Spades}{4-Spades}

The river was the {5-Spades} and Kober hit a flush to double up, leaving Zinno with a short stack.

Antonius' Bluff Goes Wrong

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

People watching the live stream just saw Patrik Antonius blow through most of his stack.

He tangled with Rui Sousa in a hand where Antonius check raised on {Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and Sousa made the call.

Both players checked the {J-Hearts} on the turn and the {2-Clubs} hit the river. Antonius shoved all in and got snap called. Antonius had not much of anything with his {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Sousa had the nuts with the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}.

McDonald's Queens Hold Up

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Sitting out of position against the chip lead is never an easy spot to be in, but Stuart McDonald just made it a bit easier by doubling through him. McDonald raised to 33,000 from the button and Olekii Khoroshenin three-bet to 80,000 after which the Aussie moved all in.

Khoroshenin called.

McDonald: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Khoroshenin: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} and that gave McDonald a big double up. Khoroshenin wasn't hurt by it too much, as he still sits near the top of the counts.

Korenev's Set Sends Levy Home

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On a {4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} board we saw Nir Levy at risk against Roman Korenev. It looked as though Levy had checked to Stuart McDonald who bet 39,000, followed by a raise from Korenev to 109,000. After this raise it was Levy who moved all in for about 450,000 and McDonald folded his cards.

Korenev called right away, and Levy wondered if his opponent had a set. Levy's suspicions were confirmed, and he was drawing dead.

Levy: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Korenev: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

"I got away from it," McDonald said with a smile to one of his buddies, claiming he had folded ace-queen.

The river was the {J-Clubs} and Korenev raked in this pot.

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Alen Bilic shoved all in for 114,000 from early position and Jonas Palsgaard in the cutoff made the call. Alexander Ivarsson on the button three bet to 285,000 and both blinds quickly released. Palsgaard shoved all in now and Ivarsson wasn't happy. After about a minute or three he folded.

Jonas Palsgaard: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Alen Bilic: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Palsgaard eliminated Bilic.
