It's time for one of the most anticipated events of every major tournament stop: the High Roller event. Super High Roller tournaments may have grabbed some of the luster and headlines, but the High Rollers still command plenty of attention, and European Poker Tour Grand Final's is ready to kick off here in Monte Carlo.

Some huge names like Ole Schemion and Jason Mercier are still grinding away in the main event, but expect plenty of poker superstars to be present when things get going at 12:30 p.m. local time. Popular poker ballers like Super High Roller champ Erik Seidel, Scott Seiver, and Daniel Negreanu have all been participating in a slew of the offerings so far in Monte Carlo, so hopefully we'll see them in the High Roller.

Levels will last 60 minutes apiece throughout the event, with each player receiving a 50,000 starting stack. The plan for today is to play 10 levels, with 20-minute breaks between each level. The first two levels feature identical 100/200/25 blinds and antes, but with so many top-level players unafraid to put stacks in play, expect plenty of action nonetheless. Additionally, each player is permitted one reentry should things go awry at some point.

Stay tuned to all of the updates here on PokerNews as another star-filled High Roller gets underway.
