Korenev Done in by Day 1b Chip Leader

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We missed how the action unfolded, but we do know Roman Korenev got his stack all in preflop and was at risk against Day 1b chip leader Romain Paon.

Paon: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Korenev: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Korenev got it in good, and while he remained in the lead on the {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} flop, Paon picked up a flush draw. The {2-Spades} turn was no harm to Korenev, but the {K-Clubs} river was. Paon paired up and that was all she wrote for Korenev.

Delgado Done and Dusted

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

A short-stacked Vicente Delgado shoved all in for his last 24,000 from the cutoff and Christopher Frank called from the big blind.

Delgado: {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Frank: {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Delgado was in big trouble, and it got even worse when the {4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop paired Frank AND delivered him a flush draw. As it was, the {5-Spades} blanked on the turn followed by the {2-Spades} river, and Delgado was out the door.

Prager Rivers a Straight Against Mateos

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Prager raised to 17,000 from the cutoff and Mateos defended his big blind. Together both players saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs} which was checked through.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and again both players checked.

On the {10-Spades} river, Mateos bet out 27,000 and Prager raised to 110,000.

Mateos made the call after a short while, but Prager showed {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for a rivered straight.

Haxton Misses a Chance for Lead

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Isaac Haxton had {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} in front of him when we got to his table, with Hady El Asmar all in with {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Haxton's hand stayed best on the flop, but an {a-Spades} turn and {10-Hearts} river meant his opponent doubled up.

Lodden Eliminates Short-Stacked Pedersen

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Johnny Lodden opened for a raise and call the shove of Frederik Pedersen, who had just 77,000.

Lodden: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Pedersen: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

It looked for a moment like Pedersen would double as an ace appeared on the flop, but it was followed by a {10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Pedersen needed a king, and no more paint appeared.

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Dzmitry Urbanovich opened to 15,000 under the gun, and Thomas Popov made it 38,000 on his left. Action folded to Connor Drinan in the blinds, who took his time before sliding out 85,000. Urbanovich immediately folded, and Popov moved in for 357,000. Drinan called.

Drinan: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Popov: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}, and Popov wished everyone good luck.

Aido Falls to Hall

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Thomas Aaron Hall just knocked out Sergio Aido. The two clashed earlier already, but Aido folded that time.

Just now Aido went to battle with {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} while Hall had {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. The board ran out {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Aido was heading for the exit.

Chip Updates from the New 2nd Feature Table

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Paon Pounding

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Romain Paon opened to 12,000 and Andre Akkari in the big blind made the call from the big blind. Akkari check called a bet of 14,000 on {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} and both players checked the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. The {10-Clubs} fell on the river and Akkari bet out 21,000. Paon raised it up to 62,000 and Akkari made the call. The Frenchman showed {7-Spades}{8-Spades} for a full house, Akkari mucked.

Not much later Paon opened to 12,000 again, this time from early position. Mustapha Kanit in the big blind three-bet to 39,000 and action was back on Paon. The man from France four-bet to 55,000, but was forced to make it 61,000 not much later. Kanit called.

Kanit check called a bet of 65,000 on {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, only to check-fold to Paon's 110,000 bet on the {10-Hearts} turn.

Aghayev Doubles Through Delgado; Castelluccio Busted

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Sergio Castelluccio
Sergio Castelluccio

Emin Aghayev got back what he lost against Brian Roberts and then some, getting in with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} preflop against the {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} of Vicente Delgado. The board ran out {9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, and Aghayev took nearly all of Delgado's stack.

Sergio Castelluccio busted from another table.
