Roberts Decimated

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With the clock already displaying the tournament was down to 23 players, play had halted at the other tables to prepare for the redraw. Just Brian Roberts tables was still in action, as Helppi had raised the cutoff and Roberts had three bet from the small blind. Helppi had called, and had called the continuation bet Roberts made on {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Roberts bet 96,000. Helppi called in position. The river {Q-Spades} made Roberts bet 207,000, leaving himself with just 16,000 - a single big blind. Helppi moved all in and Roberts folded with a wry smile on his face.

Defending Champ Dzmitry Urbanovich Eliminated

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Dzmitry Urbanovich
Dzmitry Urbanovich

While Adrian Mateos was busting at one table, the defending champ, Dzmitry Urbanovich, fell at another.

It happened when Urbanovich, who had been nursing a short stack, moved all in for his last 151,000 from early position and recent WSOPE bracelet winner Dietrich Fast called from the small blind.

Urbanovich: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Fast: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Urbanovich was in big trouble, and while he received a little help on the {j-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, he needed more to stay alive. The {8-Clubs} turn wasn't it, and neither was the {Q-Spades} river. Urbanovich missed and saw his title defense come to an end in 24th place.

Wheeler Rebounds from 4 BBs; Mateos Hits the Rail

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

"I had four bigs six minutes ago," Jason Wheeler said with a big smile. He had good reason to celebrate as he had just received back-to-back doubles.

The first, which saw him get his last 65,000 all in, came when his {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} held against the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} of Byron Kaverman after the board ran out {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

In the next hand, Adrian Mateos raised to 32,000 from the hijack, Wheeler moved all in for 164,000 from the cutoff, and Mateos called with the {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, which was dominated by the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of Wheeler. The board ran out {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Wheeler doubled again while Mateos was left with just 100,000.

In the next hand, Mateos committed his stack under the gun and Wheeler moved all in over the top for 362,000 from the hijack. Christopher Frank, who had the biggest stack, moved all in from the small blind, which drove out the big.

Frank: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Wheeler: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Mateos: {j-Spades}{7-Spades}

The {j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop was great for Mateos as he took the lead with top pair. The {3-Spades} gave him a flush draw for protection, but then disaster struck when the {A-Hearts} spiked on the river. Mateos was sent to the rail in 25th place, while the other two players chopped up his chips.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy Eliminated

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy got his chips in the middle before the flop holding {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} up against Quan Zhou's {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Troyanovskiy didn't have to much faith and already got up from the table and gathered his things. Just before the river he had already said his goodbyes and he never really saw the completed board: {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Zhou is the runaway chip leader with 2.1 million, and he has position on both Chen and Greenwood who also posses big stacks.

At the same time as Troyanovskiy, Anton Astapau hit the rail. Down to 25 players.

Zinno Falls

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Anthony Zinno was eliminated in one of the first hands after the break. He moved his last 100,000 or so in with {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and was looked up by Juha Helppi in the big blind with {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The board ran out {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Zinno made his exit.

Zinno's elimination happened at the exact same time as Ramin Hajiyev's elimination, and right after Andre Akkari hit the rail.
