Some Jawdropping Tables

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The field may not be huge yet, but some of the tables provide plenty of potential for fireworks. Nicholas Palma sits with Maria Ho, Christoph Vogelsang, Fabrice Soulier, PokerStars' Team Online Isaac Haxton, Michael Wang and [Removed:17].

A few tables over, Justin Bonomo, Mohsin Charania, Mukul Pahuja and Guiliano Bendinelli are seated together. Most of the North American pros came over straight from Berlin to Malta and are not interested in the online grind on Poker Sunday.

Stephen O'Dwyer vs Vicente Delgado

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Arriving with the board being spread {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, Steve O'Dwyer bets 2,800 and Vicente Delgado only flat-calls and O'Dwyer flips over {10-Spades}{6-Spades} for trips tens with six kicker. Delgado has the {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for trips tens with a king kicker and rakes in the pot.

Vitagliano Vanquished; Chidwick and Filatov Disappear

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Stephen Chidwick - eliminated
Stephen Chidwick - eliminated

We picked up the action on the river with the board reading {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and 10,000 out in front of Italy's [Removed:40]. Igor Kanavin responded by moving all in, and Vitagliano, who had about 10,000 back, agonized over what to do. Eventually he dropped in some chips to signify a call, and he no doubt regretted it as Kanavin tabled the {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} for the runner-runner nuts.

Vitagliano then showed {a-}{10-} for runner-runner two pair.

Meanwhile, Stephen Chidwick, Anatoly Filatov, and Ants-Endel Sorra all found themselves on the rail.

Small One for O'Dwyer

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

With roughly 6,000 in the pot and a board reading {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Steve O'Dwyer checked from the small blind and Switzerland's Sardor Shagulyamov did the same from the big. The action repeated itself on the {Q-Spades} river, and O'Dwyer rolled over the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. It was good as Shagulyamov tossed his cards to the muck.

Dealer Doesn't Do it for Alfred

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

With around 14,500 already in the pot and a flop of {2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}, Thomas Muehloecker bet 6,600 from the small blind, Sanan Dovlatov called from the cutoff, and Nader Alfred took his time on the button before moving all in for 22,500. Muehloecker folded, but Dovlatov opted to make the call.

Alfred: {6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Dovlatov: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

"Ok, do it one time dealer," Alfred requested. The dealer did not oblige and instead put out the useless {J-Hearts} and {5-Hearts} on the turn and river respectively.

"Good call," Alfred said before rising. "Thank you."

Meanwhile, both Craig Varnell and Panagiotis Oikonomou have also been eliminated from the tournament.
