Simon Deadman - Philipp Gruissem
Simon Deadman - Philipp Gruissem

We saw Philipp Gruissem check call a bet of 7,000 on {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Spades} from the big blind. His opponent was Jeff Rossiter who had made the bet from the hijack. The turn came the {7-Diamonds} and Gruissem check called another 17,500. Both players checked the {5-Hearts} on the river and Gruissem's {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} proved good as Rossiter mucked.

Gruissem was up to 266,000 after that pot but lost a chunk right the next hand. Action folded to Simon Deadman on the button and the British pro raised to 6,500. While still stacking his chips from the last hand. Gruissem three-bet to 17,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and Deadman called.

Both players checked the {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop and the {5-Diamonds} hit the turn. Gruissem made a bet of 16,000 and Deadman called. The {9-Diamonds} completed the board and Gruissem checked. Deadman bet 37,500 and Gruissem called after some tanking, only to muck upon seeing Deadman's {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

Badziakouski Busts to Selbst

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Vanessa Selbst opened for 5,000 before the break and Mikita Badziakouski shoved his 53,800 to the middle from middle position right next to her. Action folded back around to Selbst who called after giving it some thoughts.

Selbst was the owner of {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} but would get outflopped by Badziakouski's {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} on {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}. The {4-Diamonds} on the turn in combination with the {5-Spades} on the river gave Selbst a straight and Badziakouski hit the rail in the last hand before the break.
