MacPhee Doubles Through Sikora

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds it was Kevin MacPhee who got his last 365,000 in with {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} from the small blind. Big blind Jaroslaw Sikora looked him up with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and was in the lead.

MacPhee already got up but the flop saved him: {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}. The {3-Clubs} on the turn and {7-Diamonds} on the river were blanks and MacPhee sat down again.

Palma Doubles Through Cates

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Dan Cates opened for 40,000 from the hijack and action folded to Nicholas Palma in the big blind. He moved all in for 334,000 and action was back on Cates.

Cates wasn't too happy and asked "Why are you doing this to me?" Palma didn't answer but Cates continued the conversation anyway. "I'm pretty good at winning flips. Should I gamble?" F*%# it, I gamble!"

Dan Cates: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Nicholas Palma: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Palma doubled.

"I was gonna talk you out calling of it, but then I thought you were gonna fold anyway" Palma said with a smile. "I guess I'll take it now" Palma added. The two exchanged some words about who was deserving it more while the chips changed hands.

Simon Mattsson Eliminated in 21st Place

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Simon Mattsson
Simon Mattsson

Jaroslaw Sikora opened from the hijack and Simon Mattsson called from the small blind. So far no big action, but that would change on a flop of {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Mattsson checked and Sikora made a continuation bet of 33,000. Mattsson check raised to 77,000 and Sikora called after some thinking.

The {10-Diamonds} hit the turn and Mattsson shoved all in for 244,000. Sikora wasn't happy about that and went deep into the tank. He cut out calling chips, counted how much he would have behind if he called and lost, and thought about it some more. He eventually did call and Mattsson showed first with a not too happy face.

Jaroslaw Sikora: {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Simon Mattsson: {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

The {J-Hearts} on the river wasn't the right type of red for Mattsson and the Swede left in 21st place for €28,420. The remaining 20 players are now guaranteed €31,480.

Chew Gone in 22nd Place

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Stevan Chew

Papazian: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Chew: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and Chew was sent to the rail in 22nd place.

Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

The action folded to Stephen Chidwick in the small blind and he moved all in for 219,000 on Daniel Cates' big blind.

Cates tanked for a bit and said, "What a spot," as he sighed.

"You might be in trouble, dog," Cates added.

Then Cates called, and the showdown went as follows.

Cates: {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Chidwick: {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Chidwick was knocked out in 23rd place.

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Felix Bleiker opened the cutoff for 35,000 and Aleksandr Denisov three-bet to 57,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded but Bleiker added the few chips needed to make the call.

The flop came {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Denisov made a bet of 52,000. Bleiker called in position and saw Denisov check to him on the {K-Hearts} turn. Bleiker made a bet of 125,000 and Denisov folded within a minute. The Russian player showed the {K-Clubs} and Bleiker showed the {10-Diamonds}.

Chew moved all in, and Denisov stood up as he made the call for 270,000 total.

Denisov: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Chew: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Denisov got a double up to 550,000 while Chew was left with one of the smallest stacks worth 180,000.
