Gruissem Wins, Gruissem Loses

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Simon Deadman - Philipp Gruissem
Simon Deadman - Philipp Gruissem

We saw Philipp Gruissem check call a bet of 7,000 on {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Spades} from the big blind. His opponent was Jeff Rossiter who had made the bet from the hijack. The turn came the {7-Diamonds} and Gruissem check called another 17,500. Both players checked the {5-Hearts} on the river and Gruissem's {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} proved good as Rossiter mucked.

Gruissem was up to 266,000 after that pot but lost a chunk right the next hand. Action folded to Simon Deadman on the button and the British pro raised to 6,500. While still stacking his chips from the last hand. Gruissem three-bet to 17,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and Deadman called.

Both players checked the {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop and the {5-Diamonds} hit the turn. Gruissem made a bet of 16,000 and Deadman called. The {9-Diamonds} completed the board and Gruissem checked. Deadman bet 37,500 and Gruissem called after some tanking, only to muck upon seeing Deadman's {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy opened for 6,500 under the gun and saw his neighbor Liv Boeree shove all in for 39,100. Action folded back to Troyanovskiy and he called after giving it some thoughts.

Liv Boeree: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Vladimir Troyanovskiy: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and Boeree doubled.

Denisov Folds Queens Preflop

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Chris Hunichen opened before the flop from early position and Aleksandr Denisov three-bet to 16,000 from the button. Both blinds released and Hunichen announced all in. Denisov asked for a count, despite Hunichen having him covered by quite a margin, and went into the tank. Hunichen had 158,200 in the middle while Denisov only had about 77,000 in front of him. At one point someone called the clock and with about half a minute left, Denisov open folded his {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. Hunichen didn't show and started stacking his newfound chips.

Soika Takes out Muehloecker

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ihar Soika just took his time calling Thomas Muehloecker's shove in the following spot. The board showed {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{7-Clubs} when Soika had 37,200 out in front of him after Muehloecker had checked, and the Austrian pro proceeded to check-raise all in for 122,900.

Soika tanked for a long time, and after the clock was called on him he eventually called.

Soika showed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} against Muehloecker's {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, and the river brought a blank to send 'Wushu' to the rail.
