Goryachev Rivers a Flush

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Philipp Gruissem opened before the flop with a raise to 8,000 from the cutoff. Viacheslav Goryachev was the one calling in the big blind and the Russian high roller check called a bet of 10,000 on {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and check called anither 21,000 on the {3-Clubs} turn. The river came the {5-Clubs} and Goryachev bet out 25,000. Gruissem called, but mucked upon seeing Goryachev's {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Change of Plans

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

A total of 11 levels will be played, and after the sixth level there will be a dinner break of 60 minutes. The tournament staff has decided to play one additional level instead of the usual 10 due to the large field size and having to finish the tournament tomorrow.

Boika Busts Vladic

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We just caught a big pot between Aliaksei Boika and Stipo Vladic. The flop showed {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} when Boika was all in at risk, covering Vladic by just 8,000 chips with 265,000 in the middle.

Vladic: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}
Boika: {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and the river the {Q-Clubs}, giving Boika a flush to crack Vladic's two pair.

Boeree Busto

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Liv Boeree was missing in action and Philipp Gruissem, who was stretching near the rail but was very much still active, told us what had happened. Boeree was down to her last 15 big blinds when she shoved all in from the cutoff. Simon Deadman on the button woke up with aces and saw that hand hold up.

Bilokur Decimated

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Alex Bilokur
Alex Bilokur

With a dead big blind due to a misunderstanding, Alex Bilokur made it 70,000 with just 4,600 behind. Kenneth Smaron made the call and Mike Watson reshoved for 74,200. Bilokur moved in for his last 4,600 and Smaron made the call again.

Kenneth Smaron: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Alex Bilokur: {9-Spades}{9-Spades}
Mike Watson: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

Despite being in the lead, Bilokur didn't seem too confident and was already getting up from the table to make his exit. The flop proved him right as Watson took a commanding lead: {K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. The {2-Spades} on the turn and {6-Spades} on the river didn't change a thing and Bilokur walked towards the exit. He was already almost out of the room when it showed he had still some chips left. He paid his 500 ante the next hand and won with ace-queen from king-ten to get at least some chips again.
