Stokkan and Pleticha Chop It Up

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Preben Stokkan raised to 60,000 from under the gun, the action folded to Tomas Pleticha in the cutoff and he three-bet all-in for 140,000.

"How much?" asked Stokkan before calling to put Pleticha at risk of elimination.

Pleticha: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Stokkan: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

A {7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{K-Clubs} was void of drama and the pot was chopped.

Stokken's Shove Goes Uncalled

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Norway's Preben Stokken moved all-in from early position and his shove went uncalled, taking him up to 480,000 chips.

Eights Into Queens

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Slaven Popov opened for 70,000 only to have Onur Unsal three-bet all in for 555,000 total from the small blind. Popov thought for a few moments and then made the call.

Unsal: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Popov: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Unsal was well out in front, and that's just where he stayed as the board ran out a clean {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

Ferrero Pulls a Barry Greenstein

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Gleb Tremzin opened for 65,000 under the gun only to have Olivier Ferrero three-bet jam for 455,000 from the cutoff. Ivan Deyra then four-bet all in over the top from the button, both blinds folded, and Tremzin got out of the way.

Deyra: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Ferrero: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The {j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} paired Ferrero, but he needed some more help to stay alive. The {5-Diamonds} turn gave him chop opportunities to a diamond, but it'd be the {a-Hearts} on the river that'd give him the full double!

Henri Jaakkola Eliminated in 23rd Place (€30,730)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Henri Jaakkola - 23rd Place
Henri Jaakkola - 23rd Place

A short-stacked Henri Jaakkola shoved all in for 330,000 under the gun and Chris Walker, who was next to act, moved all in over the top. The rest of the field folded and the cards were turned on their backs.

Walker: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Jaakola: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The {8-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop paired Jaakola, but he needed more help to stay alive. The {3-Clubs} turn wasn't what he needed, and neither was the {5-Hearts} river. With that, Jaakola became the first elimination of Day 5.

Lamprecht Wins Battle of the Blinds

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Javier Gomez completed the small blind for 30,000 before calling a raise from Benjamin Lamprecht in the big blind.

Gomes then check-called an 85,000 bet on the {9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop. That was the last of the betting as both players checked the {3-Spades} turn and the {K-Clubs} river, Gomes turning over the {A-Clubs}{6-Spades} and losing to Lemprecht's {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

"I Never Bluff"

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Samuel Vousden was in the big blind and he led for 180,000 on the river of the {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board only to see Vlado Banicevic raise to 505,000 from the hijack. Vousden went into the tank for more than two minutes, vocally replying the hand.

Vousden folded and said, "Show me the bluff," to which Banicevic replied, "I never bluff."

Battle of the Irish

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Gavin O'Rourke raised to 90,000 from the small blind and Marc Macdonnell defended from the big. Both players proceeded to check it down as the board ran out [jhks10c7h6g], and O'Rourke tabled the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. It was good as Macdonnell sent his cards to the muck.

One for Unsal

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Thomas Butzhammer limped from the small blind and Onur Unsal checked his option from the big to see a {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop. Butzhammer led out for 40,000, Unsal raised to 110,000, and Butzhammer called to see the {5-Diamonds} turn.

Butzhammer checked, Unsal bet 190,000, and this time it did the trick as his opponent folded.
