Oleksii Khoroshenin vs Connor Drinan

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Connor Drinan raised to 320,000 and Oleksii Khoroshenin called in the big blind. The flop of {J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} went check, check. On the {J-Clubs} turn, Khoroshenin check-called a delayed continuation bet worth 300,000 and then bet the {7-Hearts} river for 585,000. Drinan folded.

The next hand, Drinan open-shoved and Pascal Hartmann called all in from one seat over.

Hartmann: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Drinan: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Drinan grinned "how do you call that with ICM?", Hartmann just chuckled back.

Kyle Keranen Bets Big on River

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Oleksii Khoroshenin raised to 320,000 under the gun and Kyle Keranen defended his big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and the pair both checked. On the turn Keranen bet 400,000 and Khoronin called.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and Keranen bet a cool 2,100,000 and Khoroshenin tanked. The clock was called, but Khoroshenin folded as the rules were being explained to him.

Pascal Hartmann Scores a Double

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Shortly after coming back from the break, Patrick Leonard raised to 400,000 from the cutoff. Pascal Hartmann moved all in for 490,000 from the small blind and Ari Engel asked Leonard how much he started with, then folded. Leonard quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Hartmann: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Leonard: {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop was no good for Hartmann, and the {6-Diamonds} turn made things even worse. But the {Q-Clubs} river let the German more than double thanks to the antes and big blind in the pot.

Joseph Cheong Doubles

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

From under the gun, Joseph Cheong shoved for his last 860,000 and the action folded around to Oleksii Khoroshenin in the big blind. The EPT Vienna champion called and had a kicker problem.

Cheong: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Khoroshenin: {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The {Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop paired up Cheong and the {10-Diamonds} turn locked up his double, making the {2-Diamonds} river a formality.

More for Ari Engel

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Patrick Leonard raised to 275,000 from late position and Ari Engel on the button and Kyle Keranen in the big blind called. On the {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, action checked to Engel and he bet 360,000. Keranen folded and Leonard called. Both the {2-Hearts} turn and {9-Spades} river were checked and Leonard flipped over the {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. Engel had that beat with {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and chipped up further.

Ari Engel Takes from Kyle Keranen

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Kyle Keranen raised from early position to 250,000 and Ari Engel called in the big blind. On the {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, both players checked. After the {5-Diamonds} turn, Engel checked and Keranen bet 260,000, which Engel called. There was no betting action on the {2-Hearts} river and Engel flashed {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, which was good enough to win the pot.

The Old Tricks Still Work

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

After giving up his small blind, Joseph Cheong folded twice more to raises by Oleksii Khoroshenin and then moved all in for 190,000 from the hijack. Patrick Leonard in the cutoff, Pascal Hartmann in the small blind and Ari Engel in the big blind all called.

On the {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, the action checked to Leonard and his bet forced folds to isolate.

Cheong: {K-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Leonard: {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

"Good luck guys," Cheong said and pulled the old "stand up from the chair and pull a miracle" move. The {A-Spades} turn was a blank, but the {10-Clubs} river completed a straight and Cheong quadrupled up.
