Cano Spiked by Shatilov

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Mickael Cano was all-in and at risk pre-flop with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} . He looked in great shape to double his short stack against his only opponent in the hand, Andrey Shatilov, who held {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

The flop of {7-Hearts}{A-Spades}{K-Spades} put Shatilov into the lead, however, and after the {K-Diamonds} turn and {A-Hearts} river, Cano was out of EPT Barcelona on Day 2. Shatilov is up to 44,600, but that's still some way behind the average of just under 60,000.

Action Table

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On a board of {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, Georgios Zisimopoulos had a bet of 3,500 out in front of him. Dorian Rios, directly to his left, made it 12,000. 'Zisimo' decided to let it go after a minute.

In the next hand, Zisimopoulos opened again, this time to 2,300. Once again, Rios came along with the call. Alexandros Kolonias, 4th in the €50,000 Super High Roller earlier this week (€467,700), three-bet to 8,000 from the binds. Zisimopoulos folded, but Rios called the extra chips right away.

Both players checked the {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop. Kolonias bet 7,000 on the {4-Hearts} turn, and Rios folded. With a lot of action players, it should be an interesting table to follow throughout the day.

"Nothing I can do"

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Short stack Patrick Sacrispeyre, who had lost half his stack coming into Day 2, got it in for 12,400 from the cutoff and Michael Sklenicka looked him up out of the small blind with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Sacrispeyre had the {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and doubled thanks to a board of {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

"Nothing I can do," Sklenicka added after the hand was over and shrugged.

Kaggerud Crushed by Orrico

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Robert Kaggerud saw a pre-flop raise from Luiz Orrico on the button and got his stack of 15,400 into the middle from the big blind. Orrico weighed it up with serious consideration, but eventually tossed in the requisite chips and showed {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. He was way ahead of Kaggerud's {A-Spades}{4-Clubs} and stayed there through the {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} board. Orrico has now built an impressive stack and sits on double the average.

Caceres Caught in a battle of Pocket Pairs

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The pocket kings of Marcelo Caceres were already in the muck and he headed to the exit while the stack of Ioannis Kontonatsios was counted after a board of {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. He held {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and turned a set of queens, while Aliaksei Boika's {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}, the best hand going into the showdown, were cracked.

Kontonatsios was all in for around 57,000 and doubled through Boika to boost his stack.
