Filipe Oliveira Flushed Away by Pavel Plesuv

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Pavel Plesuv raised to 45,000 and Michael Addamo called before Filipe Oliveira three-bet to 250,000 out of the small blind. Plesuv called and Addamo folded.

On the {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Oliveira shoved for his last 70,000 and Plesuv called.

Oliveira: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Plesuv: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {8-Diamonds} on the turn completed the flush for Plesuv and Oliveira was drawing dead, making the {9-Hearts} river insignificant.

Rui Sousa Takes from Jason Koon

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

In the cutoff, Jason Koon raised to 45,000 and Rui Sousa three-bet to 130,000 from one seat over. Koon called and the flop came {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Koon checked, Sousa bet 110,000 and Koon called. Both players checked through the {Q-Clubs} turn and the {9-Clubs} river.

Koon briefly showed his cards and then mucked them, as soon as Sousa had turned over {J-Spades}{9-Spades} for a straight and flush draw that had improved to queens and nines on the river.

Jason Mercier shoved all in for 213,000 from the button with {9-Hearts}{8-Spades} but was quickly called by Vojtech Ruzicka with {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} in the small blind.

The two men were heads-up to the board of {6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and that was the end for Mercier with just 50 players left.

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Howard Busted by Mortensen

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Michael Howard had been shoving to increase his stack plenty of times in the past few orbits, but ran out of luck with his last bid to double up. Howard was all in and at risk with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} but he was flipping against {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades} of Morten Mortensen.

The flop almost killed Howard's chances stone dead as he saw the dealer fan {J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{A-Hearts} . The turn of {5-Spades} ended all hope for Howard, and after the {K-Diamonds} river, Mortensen stacked up 1.45m chips.

Yoneya Unable to Hold On

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Taichi Yoneya
Taichi Yoneya

Taichi Yoneya was all-in for just one big blind, but there was no major hand we missed earlier, he has been surviving on fumes for what seems to have been forever here on Day 4. The Japanese player took his exit in great spirit, but it was a tough beat.

All-in and at risk with {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} , Yoneya faced Alexandru Baron's {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} but after the flop came {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades} Yoneya himself declared 'He has outs!'

The turn of {7-Hearts} didn't do him any damage, but the {10-Clubs} river gave Baron a better straight than the one on the board and Yoneya was out of the door, smiling, but beaten.

He was dominated by {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} but flopped Broadway and held through a board showing {K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} .

Chebli Chebli Doubles; Leaves Jason Mercier Short

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Chebli Chebli defended against a raise by Jason Mercier over on the feature table and checked the {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop. Mercier bet 42,000 and Chebli check-raised to 152,000 before Mercier then moved in. Chebli called for 407,000 and the cards were turned over.

Chebli: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Mercier: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Neither the {10-Clubs} turn nor the {K-Clubs} river changed anything and Mercier was left with less than 13 big blinds.
