Newey Rivers an Ace

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Paul Newey raised to 2,500 from early position and got a call from Joao Vieira in the big blind. They saw the flop of {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, and Vieira check-called a bet of 3,500. Both players checked the turn, which was the {J-Clubs}, and again on the {A-Diamonds} river. Vieira showed the {5-Spades}{6-Spades} for jacks and sixes, but Newey rivered the Ace holding the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} to scoop the pot.

Luca Shows Early Aggression

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Ivan "negriin" Luca and Luuk Gieles saw a min-raised pot checked through to the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} river. Luca fired a bet of 15,100 for almost three times the pot with the straight on board. Gieles glanced over at his opponent and eventually called with the {J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Luca was trying to steal the pot with the {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, but it was chopped up.

Soon after, Christoph Vogelsang bet 3,000 from under the gun on the flop of {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, but he was met with a raise to 10,100 on the button from Luca and folded.

Peters and Dvoress Clash Twice

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

In a battle of the blinds, David Peters paid off the value bet of table neighbor Daniel Dvoress for 22,700 on the river of a board that read {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Dvoress showed the {Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for two pair, and that won the pot.

Soon after, the duo headed to the {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades} board, and Peters check-raised Dvoress' bet of 9,500 to 26,000. Dvoress made the call and the dealer burned and turned the {6-Hearts} as final community card. Peters reached into his stack and made it 45,000 to go, receiving a fold from his opponent.

Petrangelo Takes from Vieira

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Joao Vieira tried to bluff Nick Petrangelo with the {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} but the latter called with the {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and claimed the pot on a seven-high board. Soon after, Luuk Gieles raised to 2,500 and both Vieira and Petrangelo called. The flop came {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and Petrangelo checked, acting out of the big blind. Gieles bet 4,500, and Vieira raised to 16,000. Petrangelo called, and Gieles folded.

The two remaining players checked the {3-Spades} turn before Petrangelo's bet of 14,000 on the {Q-Hearts} river won the pot without showdown.

High Roller Champion Steve O'Dwyer in the House and Chipping Up

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Niall Farrell opened to 2,500 and got a call from Felix Bleiker in the big blind. On a flop of {J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} Bleiker bet 5,000, and Farrell folded.

On the next hand, Farrell opened again to 2,500. This time, Steve O'Dwyer, perhaps sensing weakness, raised to 8,000 from the button. Farrell thought for a little bit before sliding out a four-bet to 22,500. O'Dwyer called and saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} in position. Farrell checked, O'Dwyer bet 13,000, and Farrell folded.
