Dato Fires All Three Streets

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

On a flop of {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts} we saw Dutchman David van der Weele check from the big blind. Under the gun, Andrea Dato made a bet of 1,700 and Van der Weele called. Van der Weele check called another 3,700 on the {K-Hearts} turn before the {7-Hearts} completed the board. Van der Weele checked again, and folded to Dato's shove for 12,600.

Billard Pays Off Hoog

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jesper Hoog started the tournament less than half an hour ago with a fresh stack of 30,000 and more than doubled it now. Picking up the action on the {J-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} turn, Hoog bet small and Billard raised to 8,600 with Hoog making the call. The {7-Diamonds} river then saw Hoog shove for 21,900 and Billard called to get shown {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} for a full house with jacks over sevens as winning hand.

Blain Eliminated in Three-way All-in

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Dermot Blain
Dermot Blain

From under the gun Dermot Blain moved all-in for his remaining chips. He came in with 22,500 but had lost a few pots and his all-in was for 12,500. It folded to Dominik Nitsche in middle position who just called, before Georgios Zisimopoulos re-raised all-in for his remaining 22,600. The blinds folded and Nitsche made the call.

Blain: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Nitsche: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Zisimopoulos: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

"30% is alright," said Blain reflecting on his current situation. The board ran out {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}, Blain was eliminated, and Zisimopoulos moved up to over double his stack at the start of the day

Adams Busts Garcia

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

In the cutoff, Timothy Adams raised to 2,000. His neighbor Alberto Garcia on the button three-bet to 5,000 and both blinds released. Adams opted to call and see a flop.

The flop came {K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Adams checked. Garcia made a bet of 3,800 and Adams check raised to 11,300. Garcia shoved all in for a little more and Adams immediately called.

Timothy Adams: {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Alberto Garcia: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {A-Hearts} on the turn gave Adams his flush on top of a royal flush draw, but he wasn't home safe just yet as Garcia had made top two. The {3-Hearts} on the river was effectively a blank though, and Garcia hit the rail.

Kuo and Guth Going Up

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Martin Guth had busted Jan-Eric Schwippert earlier today and was just spotted in a raising war with Walid Bou Habib. The latter had squeezed to 12,800 from the cutoff before Guth then moved all in. Bou Habib asked the dealer for an exact count, and once it was determined to be 46,000 the Lebanese folded.

One table over, Kitty Kuo has increased her stack early on as well, grinning from behind a tower with her flashy iPhone not far away.

Hallaert Busts Gieles

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

In middle position, Kenny Hallaert opened for 1,800. Action folded to Luuk Gieles in the cutoff and he three-bet to 5,600. Hallaert pushed all in for 25,000 effectively and Gieles, who registered today after having played the €10,200 High Roller yesterday, called it off.

Luuk Gieles: {A-}{K-}
Kenny Hallaert: {Q-}{Q-}

The board came no higher than a {10-} and Gieles made his exit. Hallaert was up to 75,000 after the hand, but lost a bit back and now stands at 67,000.

Goldberg's Kicker Wins

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Mikko Turtinainen raised to 1,600 and Gregory Goldberg then moved all in for 9,400. The Finn called with {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} but had the slightly inferior kicker compared to Goldberg's {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. This would play a crucial role with the board running out {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and Goldberg survived.
