Liperis Busts Portaleoni

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

On an {5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{a-Spades} board, Liperis had bet 12,500 and got one caller before Portaleoni moved all-in for his remaining 140,000 chips. Portaleoni called and Liperis folded.

Liperis: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Portaleoni: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Portaleoni had picked an inopportune moment to shove, as he was crushed by Liperis. The board ran out {4-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Portaleoni was eliminated

Rudnik Busts Lybaert

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

From early position, Michal Rudnik made it 10,000 to go. Action folded around to Bart Lybaert in the small blind and he moved in for 60,500. The big blind folded, Rudnik called just about instantly.

Bart Lybaert: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Michal Rudnik: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The board came {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and despite picking up some new outs along the way, Lybaert made his exit as the board bricked out.

Hadad's Set Doesn't Bust Soulier

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Fabrice Soulier was all in for a tiny stack before the flop while Or Hadad and one further player still to act played a decent side pot. On the {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{J-Clubs} river, Hadad showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and the other player mucked while Soulier was surprised. "Oh, I win?" he said and then flipped over {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a straight.

More Updates from the Feature Table; Vamplew Busts

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
David Vamplew
David Vamplew

Another all-in and call on the feature table and this time it was David Vamplew who was all-in and behind holding {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} to Jakub Michalak's {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

And it wasn't good news on the flop as it came {j-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. There were still ways for Vamplew to stay in the tournament, but the {3-Spades} on the turn meant that he was drawing dead, while the {q-Spades} on the river was nought but a formality.

Solid Read by Kamatakis

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Iliodoros Kamatakis raised to 10,000 and was called one way before Andrew Abernethy shoved for 105,500. Kamatakis eventually folded, as did the other player. "Show a queen!" the Greek demanded and Abernethy flashed the {Q-Diamonds}.

Vogelsang and Halleux Eliminated in the Same Hand

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

From first position, Christoph Vogelsang shoved his last 35,500 in. Action folded around to Bernardo Dias on the button and he shoved over the top for about 115,000.

In the small blind, Bart Lybaert folded his short stack, and action was on Fabrice Halleux in the big blind. He had just 7,000 behind and committed his 12,000 total as well, to make it a three-way showdown:

Christoph Vogelsang: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Fabrice Halleux: {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Bernardo Dias: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The board came {K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and both Vogelsang and Dias made their exit.

Elimination at the Feature Table

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Francisco Correia De Oliveira
Francisco Correia De Oliveira

Amidst a flurry of all-ins, Koray Aldemir was all-in and behind holding {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} against the {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} of day 1a chip leader Francisco Oliveira.

The flop wasn't kind to him as it came {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. The {a-Hearts} on the turn meant that the German was drawing dead and he made a swift exit from the feature table before the {2-Spades} was dealt on the river. He collects €9,100 as a min cash in the EPT Dublin main Event

Dubini Busts Purice

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Tudor Purice
Tudor Purice

One time chip leader Tudor Purice's stack melted significantly over the last hour and he then shoved the {Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades} turn into a 30,000-bet by Richard Dubini.

The Argentinian called with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Purice was caught with the fingers in the cookie jar, holding only {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

Neither a jack or king but the {10-Diamonds} appeared on the river and that sent Purice to the rail as first player in the money.

The Dublin Bubble Pops

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Sven Magirius bubbles EPT 12 Dublin Main Event 2016
Sven Magirius bubbles EPT 12 Dublin Main Event 2016

Sven Magirius shoved under the gun for 21,000, and when it folded to Alexandre Rivero in the cutoff, he pushed in over the top for 110,000.

The rest of the players folded and once action finished up at all the other tables, the hands were revealed.

Magirius: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Rivero: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

It was a classic race with Magirius' tournament life hanging in the balance and the board rolled out {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, missing Magirius and making him the EPT12 Dublin Main Event bubble boy. His elimination in 88th place means the rest of the field is in now the money and hand-for-hand play is over and done with.
