Urbanovich Doubles with Full House

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Dzmitry Urbanovich raised to 7,000 from under the gun and was called by four players including Vebjorn Monstad from early position. On the flop {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, the action was checked to Monstad and he bet 18,000. All other players folded and Urbanovich then check-raised all in for 61,500.

Monstad called with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Urbanovich had {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The Pole faded the flush draw and made a full house instead thanks to the {A-Spades} turn and {A-Hearts} river.

Koop and Loeliger Bust

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Linus Loeliger faced the all in of Orpen Kisacikoglu while sitting on the button with a loaded pot and the board {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}. The Swiss called with {8-Spades}{6-Spades} for two pair but his opponent held {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for the higher two pair.

Niko Koop also departed when three-betting all in for 30,100 with {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. Former November Niner Zvi Stern made the call with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and got there on a board of {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

Further early bustouts include Filipe Oliveira and Jonathan Concepcion.

Neuville Busts Chadha

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Carlos Chadha
Carlos Chadha

Carlos Chadha raised from under the gun with his short stack and only Pierre Neuville called out of the big blind. The flop came {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Neuville checked, Chadha bet 4,200 and then faced the shove of the November Niner. Chadha went through some possible hand combinations that he may have beat and then called only to laugh immediately upon showdown. "Oh, you have me beat anyways."

Chadha: {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Neuville: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

It was all over after the {J-Hearts} turn and the blank {5-Diamonds} river was just a formality. "I guess that was not a good call," the Canadian said and Mike McDonald as well as the other players at his table cracked up.

Litvinov Gets Paid

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

The action was on the river between the players situated in the blinds; Nick Petrangelo and Artem Litvinov. Petrangelo had checked the river of {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Litvinov had bet 36,800 into a pot of around 50,000. Petrangelo eventually made the call and was shown the bad news, with Litvinov rivering a rivering a straight holding {5-Spades}{6-Spades}. With that Litvinov moves up the chip counts, and Petrangelo's stack dips under the 200,000 mark

Martini Shaken, Stirred

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Julien Martini got his under 50,000-chip stack in the middle preflop against the similarly stacked Anton Wigg.

Martini was on the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Wigg the dominating {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. The board rolled out {8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Wigg essentially doubled up, sending Martini to the showers in the process.

Nishijima Doubles Up

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Thiago Nishijima opened to 6,000 from the hijack and was three-bet by the player on the button to 13,500. Fabrice Halleux in the small blind then moved all-in for his remaining 73,200 chips. Nishijima made the call from the hijack and the remaining player folded.

Halleux: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Nishijima: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

It was a classic aces vs kings hand, and Halleux didn't even have a suit to help him with any backdoor flushes. "King one time!" said the Belgian, but the board bricked {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Nishijima earned an early double up

Perez Doubles Through Chadha

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Carlos Chadha was the initial raiser from early position and found one customer in Rodrigo Perez from two seats over. With plenty of chips in the pot, Chadha pushed the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} river and Perez called for his last 65,200 with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for top two pair. Chadha was caught bluffing with {K-Spades}{J-Spades} for a busted gutshot and dropped a lot of chips.

Van Brugge Draws First Blood

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

In middle position, Kees van Brugge raised, and then called Thiago Crema De Macedo's small blind shove. Van Brugge had the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} while Macedo turned over {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The board ran out {J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{K-Spades} and with the river king, Van Brugge knocked out his opponent.

An Early Elimination

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

With chips still lying in multicoloured heaps from where the tournament officials had left them, Nikolaus Teichert opened to 8,000 and was shoved on by Ivica Pezelj from the small blind for 27,400. The big blind fold and Teichert called.

Teichert: {9-Spades}{10-Spades}
Pezelj: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Pezelj looked set for an early double up, but the board blew them out of the water: {6-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} and the turn: {q-Clubs} and river {q-Hearts} didn't help him and Teichert added some chips to his stack in the very first hand of day 3. Thiago Crema De Macedo followed next to the rail shortly after.
