Petrangelo Runs Jacks Into Aces

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

While Gilles Bernies was lucky enough to beat kings with his jacks just minutes ago, Nick Petrangelo wouldn't be so lucky. He got it in before the flop holding {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and was facing opposition from Rhys Jones with the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Petrangelo made his exit. He might just hop in the €10,200 high roller that's about to get underway.

Neuville Makes a Big Bluff

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Pierre Neuville got up from the table and with a big grin on his face told us about a bluff he pulled earlier. According to Neuville, Ivan Banic had made it 22,000 to go and Neuville had called with {8-}{9-}. The flop came {K-}{K-}{5-} and Banic made a bet of 25,000. Neuville raised to 75,000 and Banic called. Both players checked the {4-} on the turn and the {5-} completed the board. Banic bet 35,000 and Neuville raised to 124,000. Banic folded and Neuville showed the bluff.

Margereson Busts Calamusa

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Scott Margereson and Pierre Calamusa got it in on a flop of [Ad4h9d. Margereson had the best hand with the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} while Calamusa was on the flush draw with {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

The {A-Spades} on the turn made trips for Margereson and the {K-Hearts} on the river wasn't helping Calamusa either. Calamusa made his exit, Margereson up to almost 800,000.

Sidhu Knocks Out Wigg and Michalak on the Feature Table

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Anton Wigg
Anton Wigg

Anton Wigg with the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Kuljinder Sidhu with the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} got it in before the flop on the feature table. The {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop was good for Wigg, but the {7-Clubs} on the turn meant it was all over already for the former EPT Copenhagen champion. The {Q-Clubs} on the river didn't change a thing and Wigg made his exit.

Not much later, Kuljinder Sidhu was right back at it. From first position he raised to 24,000 and Jakub Michalak in the hijack three-bet to 54,000. Sidhu maden the call and both players checked on {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Sidhu then bet 64,000 on the {7-Hearts} turn and Michalak made the call.

Michalak had 189,000 left by the time the {3-Hearts} completed the board and that was exactly what he had to wager if he wanted to call, as Sidhu moved all in. Michalak thought about it for a fair bit before he called it off with the {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Sidhu showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and took out his second player in a matter of minutes.
