Badziakouski Gets Some Value from Kurganov

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Joining the action on the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} turn, Igor Kurganov bet 13,500 from the hijack and the pot in the middle of the table was slightly bigger than that. From one seat over, Mikita Badziakouski called and they headed to the {2-Diamonds} river. Kurganov now checked and then faced a bet worth 15,000 by Badziakouski.

The Russian called, then mucked when Badziakouski flashed {A-Spades}{9-Spades} as winning hand.

Battle of the Super High Roller Champions

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Max Altergott
Max Altergott

Erik Seidel and Max Altergott have a few things in common and one of those is the fact that they won a Super High Roller tournament here at the Grand Final. Seidel faced a raise to 4,200 by Altergott in a battle of the blinds and tossed in the extra chips to see a flop of {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

No betting action took place before Altergott then bet the {4-Diamonds} turn for 6,500. Seidel called and did so again for 11,900 on the {2-Hearts} river to muck once Altergott flipped over his {A-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a full house.

Fatehi Still Doing Well; Watson Arrives

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Daniel Dvoress raised to 3,600 from the hijack and was called by Ali Reza Fatehi on the button as well as Byron Kaverman in the big blind. On the {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop the action was checked to Fatehi and his bet of 4,800 won the pot uncontested.

After the pot was shipped to the Iranian, Mike Watson took his seat at the very same table and increased the field to 29 entrants.

Carrel Doubles Through Winter

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

Charlie Carrel raised to 4,000 and Vladimir Troyanovskiy called out of the big blind before check-folding to a continuation bet on the {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop.

Shortly after, Carrel raised to 4,000 again and Sean Winter now three-bet to 12,000. "Can I see your stack?" Carrel asked and Winter didn't initially understand. Once the dealer told him, he replied "I cover you" before taking the hands away from his stack and even pointing at it.

Carrel then four-bet to 31,000 and now it was time for Winter to ask for an approximate stack size. He followed that up with a "you got aces?" and Carrel asked back "Have you?" A few further words followed including a "I don't need this intimidation tactic" by the Brit before Winter put him in for less than 140,000 chips, Carrel snap-called.

Carrel: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Winter: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Carrel doubled up for 137,400.

Blurred Lines

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After a hot start, Ali Reza Fatehi had lost a few chips, but just got back to his high-water mark so far courtesy of Daniel Dvoress.

The big hand started with a Dvoress open to 4,700 and Fatehi three-bet the button, making it 14,000. Only Dvoress called and they went heads-up to a {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Both players checked to the {8-Hearts} turn, but after Dvoress checked, Fatehi led for 13,200.

Dvoress looked confused, but called before the dealer burned and turned over {5-Spades} river. Another check from Dvoress and Fatehi grabbed chips of every color before firing in a bet of 38,200. Dvoress looked even more confused and folded.

Luca Takes a Big One

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

From the cutoff, Steve O'Dwyer made it 4,400 and big blind Ivan Luca would become his sole opponent.

The flop came {6-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Luca check called a bet of 5,500. The {10-Clubs} hit the turn and Luca checked again. O'Dwyer fired 12,000 into the middle and Luca answered with a check raise to 37,000. O'Dwyer called.

The {2-Spades} completed the board and Luca made a hefty bet of 90,000. O'Dwyer called, but mucked upon seeing Luca's turned straight with he {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.
