Pateychuk Short

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Joining the action on the {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Pablo Melogno bet for what looked like 16,500 and Andrey Pateychuk called from one seat over on the button. The {6-Spades} turn saw Melogno fire 21,700 and again Pateychuk called before paying off the {3-Clubs} river for 27,000 and mucking to the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} of his opponent.

Zarco Gets Farrell'd

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

"He lost most of the chips to Niall, ask him," Sergio Aido replied upon being asked what happened to fellow Spaniard Javier Zarco.

Zarco had opened from early position and Farrell defended his big blind to see a {K-}{7-}{4-} flop with {5-}{6-}. Farrell check-called 7,000 and the {8-Clubs} hit on the turn "because it's me." Both players checked and then "the river was an ace, because it is me," Farrell joked. The Scotsman check-raised from 11,200 to 45,000 and was paid off with his nut straight to leave the Spaniard very short, he busted soon after.

Appleby Chops

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Yang Wang raised to 7,000 and short stack Simon Appleby shoved from two seats over on the button. In the small blind, Mikita Badziakouski called and Wang folded. He wasn't too happy to see both opponents flip over ace-jack, but his frustration lifted when the flop came {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

The split pot was already guaranteed by the time the {Q-Clubs} fell on the turn and Appleby had to settle for a small profit.

Losing Loosli and Others

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Sylvain Loosli and Isaac Haxton were among those to join the rail and the latter lost a flip against Felix Stephensen.

Preben Stokkan had raised to 7,000 and Stephensen then three-bet to 15,500 from a few seats over. The action folded to Isaac Haxton in the big blind and he took his time before moving all in. Stokkan quickly folded and Stephensen counted out his stack carefully before eventually calling it off.

Haxton: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Stephensen: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The Norwegian November Niner paired his jack on the {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop while Haxton got a ton of outs on the {10-Diamonds} turn. A blank {K-Hearts} river was of no help and Haxton was eliminated.

Silver Shoves Into Melogno

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

The action folded around to Max Silver and he made it 7,000 to go in late position. On the button, Pablo Melogno three-bet to 12,30ß0 and Silver called to go heads up to the flop {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Silver checked, Melogno continued for 9,800 and was then shaking his head once Silver shoved.

Melogno asked for a count and it was 90,900 to go in total, which proved to be too much.

Ventura and Higgins Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Shaan Siddiqui raised to 7,500 and Simon Appleby made it 18,000 to go from one seat over in the hijack. The rest of the table folded and Siddiqui, who won his ticket in the Hyper Satellite last night, then moved in.

Appleby asked for a count and then let go once the dealer determined it to be 66,900.

At the same time, Diego Ventura and Simon Higgs ran out of chips on other tables to hit the rail.

Jacobson Triples

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Martin Jacobson shoved his last 33,000 and was flat-called by [Removed:2] before Alexandros Kolonias reshoved from the small blind. Maksoud folded and the cards were tabled.

Jacobson: {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Kolonias: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop gave Jacobson heaps of outs and he said to the dealer "you owe me one" after he was apparently "slowrolled" by her in another tournament before. Nothing changed with the {6-Spades} turn, but the {5-Hearts} river completed the flush and Jacobson wanted to high five the dealer.

She laughed, but refused as that would be against the rules.
