Silver Finds Gold

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Max Silver
Max Silver

There was 100,000 in the middle when Thomas Miller decided to put Max Silver to the test for all his chips.

Miller jammed an {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board on the river for effectively Silver's entire 67,000-chip stack. Silver tanked it out for a good three minutes, shaking his head the whole time.

Eventually he called with the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the better full house than the board and Miller sheepishly showed the {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, playing the board's eights over sixes. Now Silver's the one with the big stack and Miller is looking relatively short.

Off They Go

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Mohsin Charania
Mohsin Charania

Season 8 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final champ Mohsin Charania shipped it short over an Amit Makhija raise.

Makhija called behind with the {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} versus Charania's {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, but the board rolled out {4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, making Makhija Broadway and busting Charania.

In the meantime, Grzegorz Grochulski lost all his chips with a flopped pair of jacks against Julian Stuer's turned pair of kings, putting Stuer up among the leaders.

Time for a Miracle

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Anthony Spinella faced a raise to 9,000 by Niall Farrell and the three-bet to 24,000 by Alexandros Kolonias before moving all in for more than 140,000. Short stack Sergio Aido got his last 3,000 in and everyone else out of the way.

Aido: {8-Spades}{6-Spades}
Spinella: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and the river card saved the Spaniard with the higher full house. Aido doubled up two more times after that and was suddenly back above starting stack!

Badziakouski Wins Huge Pot; Busts Wang

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Yang Wang
Yang Wang

Mikita Badziakouski opened to 10,000 from early position and Yang Wang clicked it up to 24,500 from the big blind before calling a four-bet to 60,000 by Badziakouski. Both checked the flop {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} before Wang check-called a bet worth 60,000 on the {9-Hearts} turn.

The {8-Clubs} river completed the board and Wang checked, Badziakouski shoved and Wang called with {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Badziakouski had that beat with {J-Hearts}{10-Spades} and his opponent covered to rake in the monster pot, skyrocketing into the lead.

Ofer Zvi Stern
Ofer Zvi Stern

Adrian Mateos busted shortly after his double up while short stack Mark Teltscher ran into the {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} of Zvi Stern, getting his last 39,000 in with the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and failing to improve.

Also out: Dzmitry Urbanovich and Stephen Chidwick, who had been nursing below-average stacks for some time.

"Pair is Good"

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Adrian Mateos shoved from early position with the {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for 29,400 and was called by Mark Teltscher from three seats over. Well, in fact Teltscher had reshoved his short stack for some more and everyone else folded.

When seeing the cards of his opponent, Teltscher said "pair is good" and rolled over his {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}. It was indeed good for the Spaniard, as the fives held up on a board of [19s9s4sQdQh].

Siddiqui Settles In

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Shaan Siddiqui
Shaan Siddiqui

Shaan Siddiqui won a satellite into the event, and the Canadian is playing without fear on the way to a 185,000-chip stack now.

He called a Yang Wang raise on the button with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Simon Appleby came along in the small blind. According to Siddiqui, they all checked the {9-}{j-}{4-} flop, and when the {8-Clubs} turn made it two clubs on the board, he and Appleby both flatted another Wang bet.

Finally, it checked to Siddiqui on the {9-Clubs} river and he bet half his stack, showing the bluff when his opponents both folded.

A few hands later, he called Alexander Timokhin's {a-}{2-} shove with another king-queen, the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. Siddiqui got there on an {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts} board to send the Russian to the rail.

One For The Home Team

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu made it 6,500 on the button and Alexander Uskov and Alexander Timokhin defended the blinds.

The {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop was checked around, but when it checked to Negreanu on the {4-Spades} turn, he fired out 11,000. Only Uskov called and the river was the {6-Diamonds}. Uskov checked, then went deep into the tank when Kid Poker bet 27,500.

Eventually he emerged with a call, and allowed Negreanu to chip up when he showed the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} full house before the table broke.
