Papazian Outflops Zhao

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Alexandru Papazian made it 11,000 and Dong Zhao three-bet, making it 32,000. It folded back to Papazian and he made the call, sending them heads up to a {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop.

Papazian checked it over to Zhao and he pushed in. Papazian shrugged and called with the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, having outflopped Zhao's once-dominating {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}. The {j-Clubs} turn and {4-Hearts} river were both bricks for Zhao, and he was knocked down to size, doubling up Papazian.

Stokkan Sent Packing

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Preben Stokkan ran the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} smack into Igor Yaroshevskyy's {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} all in preflop.

He went broke after a {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} board gave him a pair that wasn't good enough.

Anothercasualty early into the new level was Andrey Pateychuk, who was unable to spin up his short stack.

Korotkikh Bad Beats Greenwood

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Mikhail Korotkikh
Mikhail Korotkikh

The full betting action is unknown, but what transpired was the fact that Luc Greenwood was all in and at risk against table neighbor Mikhail Korotkikh and held the dominating hand to get back on track.

Greenwood: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Mikhail Korotkikh: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and {3-Spades} turn were all blanks, but the {Q-Hearts} river improved Mikhail Korotkikh and he let out his usual overly loud celebration. Tournament director Thomas Lamatsch walked over and gently reminded him to respect his opponents and the Russian calmed down again.

Coppola Shuts Down Aido

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

[Removed:2] raised from middle position and was called by Enrico Coppola in the small blind before Sergio Aido eventually shoved his last 57,000 with ace-nine. Maksoud folded but Coppola made the call with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} to stay ahead and shut down the double up run of the Spaniard.

Coppola has a huge tower of chips in front, but it remains unclear what the stacking amount is. In the next break, the full chip counts will be updated.
