Siddiqui Firing

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Shaan Siddiqui made it 13,000 under the gun and Stefan Schillhabel called.

They went heads up to a {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop and checked it to the {4-Clubs} turn. Siddiqui bet 17,500, but could not shake Schillhabel. Finally, on the {5-Diamonds} river, Siddiqui bet a healthy 60,000.

Schillhabel tanked for an eternity and when he finally folded, Siddiqui let out a huge breath in relief.

Stern Rivers Farrell; Above a Million

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Zvi Stern limped in at the very end of the previous level and Niall Farrell made it 16,000 to go from one seat over, picking up a call by Stern. The latter check-called all three streets of the board {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for 20,000 (flop), 52,000 (turn) respectively 100,000 (river) and then said he had improved to two pair.

Farrell mucked to the {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and lost a decent chunk of his stack.

Papazian Zhao II: This One's For All The Marbles

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Alexandru Papazian made it 11,000 and Dong Zhao called from the small blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and it came with some fireworks. Zhao checked, Papazian bet 17,000, Zhao upped it to 44,000 and when Papazian three-bet to 82,000, Zhao four bet shoved.

Papazian all but snap-called with the {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}, having Zhao's {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} just about cracked. The {7-Diamonds} made Papazian a full house, and the cracking finished up with the innocuous {3-Diamonds} river.

Spinella Doubles Stephensen; Busts

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Anthony Spinella raised from under the gun to 11,000 and Felix Stephensen jammed for 82,000 from the hijack to see everyone else fold. Spinella gave it some thought and called only to find himself with a big flip ahead for most of his stack.

Stephensen: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Spinella: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} and Spinella was left with around 55,000 chips. One hand later, Ivan Luca open-shoved from the small blind and Spinella found a pair to call.

Spinella: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Luca: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop improved Luca, but Spinella had a flush draw. It was not meant to be however, as both the {8-Spades} turn and {8-Clubs} river blanked.

Jacobson Forces Fold

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Joining the action on the {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs} turn, Alexandros Kolonias faced the shove of Martin Jacobson and the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event champion avoided a showdown as his opponent folded.

Alexandre Reard, who had previously complained in French about not getting any playable cards, ran out of chips entirely.

Stuer Takes Big Pot Off Melogno

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Pablo Melogno raised to 11,000 from the cutoff and then called the three-bet to 28,000 by Julian Stuer. On the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, Melogno checked and called a continuation bet worth 24,000 by Stuer. History repeated itself on the {A-Diamonds} turn for 32,000 before Melogno also checked the {Q-Spades} river.

Stuer fired a hefty bet worth 180,000 and Melogno tank-called to muck his cards once shown {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} by Stuer.

Seidel and Hoefer Eliminated

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Paul Hoefer sent his stack over to table neighbor Oliver Price and Erik Seidel then shoved for 62,000 from under the gun from two tables over at pretty much the same time. Ramin Hajiyev flat-called from the cutoff and everyone else let go.

Seidel: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Hajiyev: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The flop fell {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Hajiyev took the lead, which he would keep on the {4-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river as well.

Schillhabel Folds to Silver

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Joining the action on the heads-up turn {K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Stefan Schillhabel checked in the big blind and Max Silver bet 48,000 from the button. Schillhabel then check-raised to 110,000 and was called before taking his time to check the {K-Hearts} river.

Silver bet 100,000, which represented most of the stack of his opponent, and Schillhabel let go to see Silver increase his stack to almost half a million.

Popov Doesn't Get There

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

In a three-bet pot, Thomas Popov spiked a nut flush draw with {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} on the flop {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and got his stack in to get called by an opponent with {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Both the {6-Hearts} turn and the {5-Spades} river blanked and that was it for Popov, who qualified in last night's Hyper Satellite.
