Talking Chips

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Turkey's Yucel Eminoglu appears to have amped up the table talk the deeper he runs in this event.

Seemingly short stacked for all three days so far, after shipping it in for 63,000 facing a Fabio Sperling 16,000-chip open, Eminoglu spent a good two minutes trying to convince the German to fold, before changing his tune.

"Now that you've taken so long," he added. "I think I want you to call."

Another minute went by with Eminoglu filling the airspace with table chatter before Sperling did call, holding the {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Eminoglu's tournament life was riding on the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and as he called for the case nine, the dealer delivered it on an {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop. The turn brought the {8-Spades} and with Eminoglu pleading for a spadeless river, the dealer did it again, laying the {4-Hearts} on the felt and ensuring his double up.
