Mateos Survives All In

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Piotr Franczak opened to 4,000 under the gun. Benjamin Pollak three-bet to 11,500 in middle position. On the button, Adrian Mateos moved all in for 31,000. Oleksii Khoroshenin reshoved all in for 160,000 from the small blind, putting a major decision on Pollak.

The Frenchman took a lot of time, and eventually got the clock called on him. With thirty seconds left to go, Pollak flung his hand hard in the muck.

Oleksii Khoroshenin: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Pollak breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Khoroshenin's hand. The board ran out {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, giving Mateos the winner with trip aces and nearly tripling him up.

Petrangelo Moves In

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

From the under the gun position Frederik Jensen raised to 5,000. His neighbor Nick Petrangelo three-bet to 11,000 and action folded back to Jensen who called.

Both checked on {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Jensen lead out for 16,500 on the {5-Hearts}-turn. Petrangelo moved all in for 41,000 and Jensen folded almost immediately.

Despite losing that pot, Jensen is still up lots for the day, he plays around 270,000.

Max Silver
Max Silver

Max Silver has been eliminated for the second time today, making him the first player out without the option to buy back in again.

Silver was down to his last 7,900 when he squeezed all in. Both of the opponents called and one of them made a flush with {A-}{Q-Spades} to beat Silver's pocket sevens.

Khoroshenin Doubles Through Mateos

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

As we arrived, the entire board of {3-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} was already out in a blind battle between Adrian Mateos (small blind) and Oleksii Khoroshenin (big blind).

Mateos had checked and Khoroshenin was all in for 44,200. Mateos tanked for a bit before he eventually called. Khoroshenin showed As10d] and Mateos mucked. As it was an all in and call situation, the dealer revealed his hand and showed it was {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} Mateos had called with.

O'Dwyer Shoves On Kozlov

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer is off to a great start in his title defense quest. O'Dwyer, who won last year's event for €327,030, is among the early chipleaders in the tournament.

O'Dwyer busted Sergey Sergeev earlier on (who has reentered) and now put Martin Kozlov to the test for all his chips. It was Korey Aldemir who opened the action under the gun with a raise to 4,000. Martin Kozlov three-bet to 11,500 in the next seat over.

On the button, O'Dwyer made it 28,000 to go, getting rid of Aldemir, and Kozlov called the four-bet. The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and both players quickly checked. On the {5-Clubs} turn, Kozlov checked, O'Dwyer bet 24,000, and Kozlov called.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and the Australian checked again. This time, O'Dwyer took a brief pause before moving all in, putting Kozlov to a decision for all his chips. It was effectively 90,000 to call, and after squirming in his seat for the better part of a minute, Kozlov folded.

Yan Doubles Through Fatehi

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We arrived at the table with the flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts} already out and small blind [Removed:17] had bet 9,000. Ali Reza Fatehi, on the button, called.

The {K-Clubs} hit the turn and Yan bet 25,500. Fatehi raised to 52,000 and Yan moved in for 79,500. Fatehi asked for a count and called.

Ali Reza Fatehi: {3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
[Removed:17]: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The {10-Spades} on the river paired Fatehi but it wasn't enough. Last night's €25,750 High Roller champion [Removed:17] doubled, Fatehi now a bit short.

Petrangelo Fires Twice

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

From the hijack, Connor Drinan raised to 4,000. Over on the button Frederik Jensen called before small blind Nick Petrangelo squeezed to 19,000. The big blind and Drinan folded but Jensen called.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Petrangelo bet 12,000. Jensen called and called the 35,000 bet that followed on the {10-Diamonds} turn as well. The {5-Hearts} completed the board and both players checked. Petrangelo showed {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Jensen took it down revealing {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.
