Andreev Gone for Good

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

"Seat open table seven" was announced and the cards and board were already rushed away. According to Niall Farrell, Andrey Andreev had shoved for just 2,100 with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Christophe Larquemin called in the big blind with {J-}{10-}. The flop brought top two for Larquemin and Andreev's straight draw never completed.

Andreev is the first player to bust two bullets and won't be back in, as the tournament is played with single re-entry only.

Mateos' Queens Hold Up Against Carrel

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

Charlie Carrel opened to 900 from the hijack, Adrian Mateos reraised in the very next seat to 3,000, and after button and blinds folded Carrel four-bet to 11,000. Mateos called.

The flop came {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and prompted two checks, as did the turn {J-Clubs}. On the {7-Hearts} river Carrel bet out 12,000, which Mateos instantly called. Carrel flashed {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, but the top pair was no good against Mateos' {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

There will be no further battles between the two of them at this point in time. Carrel was just moved to the table of Sam Greenwood.

Fast Looks Up Tsivikos

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

Pratyush Buddiga just registered for the event and headed to the table of EPT13 Barcelona High Roller champion Connor Drinan and Dietrich Fast. The latter saw a heads-up flop of {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds} with around 10,000 in the middle and bet 2,500. Charalampos Tsivikos raised to 8,000 in the cutoff and the German called.

On the {K-Spades} river, Fast checked and Tsivikos bet 17,000, which represented almost half of the stack of his opponent. Fast eventually sighed and called, Tsivikos showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Fast scooped the pot with the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for trips tens.

Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen also sat down one table over after just having registered for the tournament.

Chidwick Gets Off on the Right Foot

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick is one of the latest entrants to this €10,300 High Roller, and the Englishman have already had an excellent start to his tournament.

Chidwick and Azerbaijan's Ilkin Amirov each put 5,250 into the pot and saw a {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. Amirov fired 3,700 and Chidwick quickly made the call.

Turn was the {A-Clubs}, but that didn't slow Amirov down one bit. He continued for 10,100 and got another call.

River was the {2-Diamonds}, and when checked to, Chidwick put in a bet of 16,000. That was enough to take down the pot as Amirov's hand hit the muck.

Petrangelo Takes from Lanuza

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

Armando Collado Lanuza raised to 650 from the cutoff and Nick Petrangelo called on the button, Orpen Kisacikoglu came along in the big blind. On the {J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop, all three players checked. The {2-Clubs} turn was checked to Petrangelo and he bet 2,000. Kisacikoglu folded and Lanuza called.

After the {6-Clubs} river, Lanuza checked again for the third time and Petrangelo briefly looked up from his smartphone before betting 5,500. That proved to be too much for Lazuna, he folded.
