Heath Not Hitting His Strive

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Preflop Ben Heath opened to 600 under the gun, Vladimir Troyanovskiy in the next seat called and so did both Roman Korenev
in the small blind and Hari Bercovici in the big blind.

Flop came down {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and while both the blinds checked, Heath continued for 2,000. Troyanovskiy called and Korenev got out of the way before Bercovici raised it up to 6,250. Only Heath found the call.

The turn was {2-Diamonds} and the Israeli fired once again, this time 9,750. That was enough to get Heath to fold, but not without a disgruntled look on his face. It is Heaths second entry in the tournament after Charlie Carrel busted him earlier.

Farrell vs Larquemin

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Sebastian Veghinas was still freezing and stood up several times to stretch and get warm. Christophe Larquemin and Niall Farrell got into a pot with 3,200 in the middle to the flop {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} at his table and Larquemin checked from under the gun. Farrell bet 1,000 on the button and Larquemin then check-raised to 2,500, Farrell called.

After the {K-Diamonds} turn, Larquemin checked, Farrell bet 5,700 and that forced a fold from the Frenchman.

Carrel Rivers the Nuts to Bust Heath

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

Preflop Charlie Carrel opened for 600, and only Ben Heath called in position, Carrel bet the {4-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop for 1,000, and Heath wasted no time calling.

Turn was the {2-Spades}, and this time Carrel fired 2,500. Another call from Heath.

The {8-Spades} river barely touched the felt before Carrel slid in a tower of 5k chips, more than enough to put Heath all in for his remaining 9,500. Heath thought for a bit but ultimately decided to commit his stack, to the shear delight of Carrel.

"Nuts nuts nuts nuts", Carrel almost sang showing {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, and Heath had to let his {K-Spades}{10-Spades} hit the muck. He then headed straight for the cashier for a reentry.

Katchalov in Almost Every Hand

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Eugene Katchalov seemingly gets involved in every hand at his table and that has paid off thus far, as the Ukrainian has been able to increase his stack. In a three-bet pot against Gaetano Brignone, he called a continuation bet worth 2,500 on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. The {6-Spades} turn and {7-Clubs} river were then checked down again and Brignone tabled the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} in the small blind, Katchalov won the hand with {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} on the button.

One hand later, Iliodoros Kamatakis raised to 600 and Katchalov called in the cutoff. On the {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, Kamatakis continued for 1,100 and that won the pot right away.

"Well I Can't Be Right All the Time"

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante
Martin Finger
Martin Finger

Preflop Nick Petrangelo opened up the action with a raise to 400 from the hijack, and both Orpen Kisacikoglu in the small blind and Martin Finger in the big blind decided to tag along.

The flop was {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and when checked to Petrangelo fired 500 that both the blinds called.

Turn was the {7-Spades} and yet again Petrangelo fired, this time for 2,000. Only finger slid out chips for a call.

The river {8-Diamonds} made Finger check a third time, and Petrangelo right away grabbed 10,000 and fired them into the pot.

"It's a joke", Finger bursted out and stood up from his seat.

"I have a live read on you. Not in general, just this hand. I think you flopped a set".

"I'm representing a set, a straight, two pair or a bluff", was the reply from Petrangelo, before he singled out one of his cards, and promised to show it if Finger would fold.

"God, that makes me want to call so bad", Finger continued, but ultimately ended up folding {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} face up.

"Nice live read you got", Petrangelo said with a smirk and showed the {8-Hearts} to the table.

"That's okay, that's okay. I can't be right all the time", Finger ended.
