Ivarsson Busts Lee; Increases Lead

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Song Hun Lee open-shoved his last 23,70 from the button and Alexander Ivarsson peeked at both his hole cards in the big blind, then called.

Song Hun Lee: {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Alexander Ivarsson: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The flop of {K-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} immediately gave the Swede a set, and Lee was drawing dead on the {J-Clubs} turn. While the meaningless {J-Hearts} appeared on the river, Lee had already grabbed his belongings and patted Ivarsson on the shoulder with a "good luck" on his way out of the tournament area.

Against the Trends

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Cate Hall
Cate Hall

Caitlin Hall raised to 2,800 from the button and Joris Ruijs defended his big blind. On the {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, Ruijs checked, Hall continued for 2,200 and Ruijs called. Both then checked the {10-Spades} turn and the {5-Spades} river. Ruijs showed the {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a pair of threes and Hall mucked.

Despite winning this small pot, the trend has gone downhill for Ruijs while Hall had built her stack further previously.

Franczak Secures a Pot With or Without Quads

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Piotr Franczak, Alexandros Kolonias and Dong Zhao have proved themselves quite a dynamic trio. They played a big pot right before the break, and they've just been at it again.

On a {9-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop Kolonias checked to Franczak, who fired out 3,000. Zhao called between them, and Kolonias followed suit.

The turn was another nine; {9-Hearts}, and this time the price from Franczak was 8,000. Only Kolonias called.

The river was the {3-Diamonds}, and when checked to a third time, Franczak went big; 26,000. This time Kolonias couldn't quite muster a call, and eventually let go of his hand.

"Show the quads", Mikalai Vaskaboinikau pleaded with Franczak, but the Pole didn't comply.

"So no quads?", Vaskaboinikau tried again, but only got a shrug from Franczak in response.

Piotrowski Leaves Michalak Short

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jakub Michalak raised from the button and fellow Pole Przemyslaw Piotrowski shoved out of the big blind for 33,300. Michalak called and it was a flip for almost two third of Michalak's stack.

Przemyslaw Piotrowski: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Jakub Michalak: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{J-Spades} and Michalak was left with less than 15 big blinds. A few days ago, Michalak emerged victorious in the Single-Day High Roller and will need some luck to repeat such a success.

Titov's Stack is Gone

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On the three-way flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, Oleg Titov checked out of the small blind, as did a third player in the hand. Armando Collado Lanuza bet 8,400 and just Titov called. On the {9-Diamonds} turn, Titov checked, Lanuza bet 16,100 and then called the check-raise all in of Titov for almost identical stacks.

Armando Collado Lanuza: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Oleg Titov: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The {5-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Lanuza doubled for 36,100, Titov was left with less than half a big blind and ran with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} into the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} of Aymon Hata.

Carrel Takes the Re-Entry

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Freek Scholten raised to 3,100 and picked up two callers in Dietrich Fast and Charlie Carrel. The flop of {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} was checked through and Carrel then bet 7,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn. Scholten and Fast both called and the {10-Clubs} river was checked to Fast.

The German bet 22,000 into 32,000 and Carrel called, Scholten then raised all in for 34,400. Fast reluctantly folded and Carrel called the rest of it with ace-ten only to see Scholten turn over pocket kings for a full house.

The remaining few chips of Carrel vanished shortly after and he purchased the second bullet.

Finger Takes from Kamatakis

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Martin Finger
Martin Finger

Martin Finger raised and then called the three-bet of Iliodoros Kamatakis to 6,500. On the {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop, both players checked. Kamatakis bet the {2-Clubs} turn for 7,200 and Finger called before the Greek checked the {9-Hearts} on the river. Finger now bet 21,000 and Kamatakis took a long time before calling.

"Ace queen," Finger announced and flipped over the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}, Kamatakis mucked. The hand lasted five minutes into the break, cutting some time off for Finger and Kamatakis.
