Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos raised to 1,300 and got called by Ilkin Amirov and Huy Pham in the blinds.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Amirov frontbet 1,600. Pham folded but Mateos stuck around to see the {9-Hearts} turn.

The Spaniard called another 3,500 and the {7-Spades} landed on the river. Amirov, who had only 13,300 behind, checked and folded when Mateos fired a 4,000-bet.

Shove Fest

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

The end of the day is nearing and we see loads of all ins. Both, the shorter stacks and the big guys are pushing when they see the right spot.

We just caught Ole Schemion shoving over an opening raise of Graydon Kowal. The Canadian wasn't very happy with the three-bet and folded.

"So much for a friendly game", he said to Schemion. The German replied with a cheeky smile.

Hajiyev Doubles Through Valle

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

On a flop of {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Guillaume Valle checked in the big blind and Ramin Hajiyev, who finished runner up to [Removed:17] in the €25,750 Super High Roller, bet 1,700. Valle check-raised to 4,500 and Hajiyev called.

After the {Q-Hearts} turn, Valle shoved and Hajiyev snap-called for 13,200 with the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a full house, Valle only had {A-Spades}{8-Spades} and couldn't deal the final blow anymore. The meaningless {8-Clubs} appeared on the river and Hajiyev doubled after joining not too long ago.

Schemion Takes Over

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Ole Schemion, who had been taken a few chips off Graydon Kowal before, opened to 1,600 from the cutoff and short stack Francesco Delfoco shoved his last 10,600 from the button. The rest of the table got out of the way and the cards were tabled.

Delfoco: {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Schemion: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The board came {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and since neither player had any diamond, the pair of tens held for Schemion.

Boika Builds Stack

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Aliaksei Boika raised to 1,500 from under the gun and three players called including Ilkin Amirov, Zorlucan Er, son of EPT13 Barcelona finalist Zorlu Er. Out of the big blind, Ghassan Bitar three-bet to 6,600 and just Boika called.

On the {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, Bitar continued for 8,500 and Boika called. Both the {9-Diamonds} turn and the {3-Clubs} river were checked. Bitar showed the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Boika claimed the pot with {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

One table over, Sergey Sergeev lamented about not getting any call on a flop of {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades} when betting 3,200 - he flashed the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

Down and Out

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Marcello Miniucchi was down to only 9,000 chips and he just got it all in against Guillaume Valle.

Valle, one of the biggest stacks in the room, after his previous hand against Luca Granieri, had {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and it was a race against Miniucchi's {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The board didn't help Miniucchi with {2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} and he was gone.

Meanwhile, one table over Jeff Sarwer busted in unknown fashion to Chi Zhang.

Granieri Busts to Valle

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Not long ago Luca Granieri raked in a big pot, but now he was spotted leaving the table. The board was still there showing {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and the {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} were in front of Guillaume Valle. According to Koray Aldemir, it was Granieri who opened from under the gun and Valle on the button, Jakub Michalak in the small blind and Aldemir in the big blind called.

On the flop, Granieri bet 5,500 and just Valle called before the Italian check-called a bet of 5,500 on the turn. Granieri led again the river for 12,000 and then called the shove of his opponent. When the cards of Valle were exposed, Granieri simply mucked. Aldemir asked for them to be shown but they had pretty much reached the muck already, only the {K-Diamonds} was then exposed.

Aces Versus Kings

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

A classic cooler helped Stephen Chidwick gain some chips. He was on the better end of aces versus kings. It was the American Alexander Dejuante who had the kings and his tournament ended with that hand.
