Reixach Busts Haxton (With Some Luck)

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Button Sergi Reixach and Isaac Haxton in the big blind got their stacks in the middle before the flop. Haxton had the best of it with {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} but would suffer a "bad beat". Reixach tabled {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} and hit an ace on a board of {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

With the departure of Haxton, the tournament was 9-handed for a second. They continued to play two tables, though, as the organization didn't want to break the table, only to open up the other one seconds later again.

Haxton told the players he was returning soon, but Alexandros Kolonias was ahead of him and came walking in with a ticket to make it five and five again.

Timothy Adams: {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Ali Reza Fatehi: {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Fatehi still had outs for a chop and runner runner possibilities. It came {4-Spades}, {Q-Spades}, giving Fatehi the flush and knocking down Adams to 230,000.

Thorel Steamrolls, Busts Badziakouski

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Mikita Badziakouski got his chips in from the big blind in a blind battle with small blind Jean-Noel Thorel on a flop of {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Badziakouski showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} but was trailing the {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} of Thorel. The {J-Diamonds} on the turn was a good card for Badziakouski but proved useless with the {9-Hearts} completing the board.

Thorel Knocks Out Greenwood

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Sam Greenwood got the last of his chips in with {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} from the button. His opponent was Jean-Noel Thorel who was acting out of early position and showed {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}. The board came an unadventurous {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and Greenwood made his exit.

"Yesterday second place, today first?" Mikita Badziakouski asked.

"Long way" answered Thorel while stacking his chips.

"Actually not that long, it's just 12 people" Badziakouski said.

Bonomo Busts Hecklen

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Henrik Hecklen was down to just a couple big blinds and made his final move with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Justin Bonomo looked him up with {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and wouldn't get in trouble beating his Danish opponent. The board ran out {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Hecklen made his exit.

"See you guys!" Hecklen said as he made his way out the door.

Petrangelo Busts (and Needles) Dvoress

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Nick Petrangelo shoved all in under the gun for 34,500. Daniel Dvoress asked for a count and then called all in. All other players folded and Petrangelo asked Dvoress if he had tens.

"Better" replied Dvoress as he showed... {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

Petrangelo showed the {Q-Hearts} and not much later the {J-Hearts} to go along with it.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Petrangelo needled Dvoress some more. All in good fun he said "Showers!" to Dvoress who got up and made his exit.

Thorel Bad Beats O'Dwyer

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Action folded to Jean-Noel Thorel on the button and he raised to 7,000. Big blind Steve O'Dwyer pushed all in for 60,500 and Thorel called.

Steve O'Dwyer: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

Thorel acted like he had just burned his fingers, but it wouldn't work out so bad for him.

Thorel flopped top-two: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and the {9-Diamonds} on the turn wasn't a good card for O'Dwyer either. The {6-Hearts} fell on the river and O'Dwyer said "See you guys in a bit", hinting at reentering.

Haxton Doubles With Aces

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel opened under the gun for 7,000 and Steve O'Dwyer three-bet from the hijack to 21,000. Isaac Haxton in the big blind, down to his last 35,500, announced all in. Thorel folded, O'Dwyer called.

Steve O'Dwyer: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Isaac Haxton: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}

The flop came {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades}, giving Haxton top set but O'Dywer still had outs. The {5-Spades} on the turn gave Haxton a flush draw on top of his set and the {2-Diamonds} on the river didn't hurt either. Double up for Haxton, O'Dwyer down to 61,000.
