Horut Doubles Through Vidovic

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Vojtech Horut bet 30,000 from the small blind on a board of {5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, and Josip Vidovic called in the big blind. Horut shoved all in on the {6-Diamonds} river, and Vidovic thought a couple of minutes before flicking a chip in to call.

Horut showed {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a backdoor flush, and Vidovic had {q-}{6-}.

Jacks Good for Obreshkov Against Lacay

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Stoyan Obreshkov opened for 23,000 from early position and got a call from Ludovic Lacay from the big blind. Obreshkov bet 18,000 after Lacay checked on the {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop.

Lacay called and then led out for 56,000 when the {9-Clubs} appeared on the turn. Obreshkov called and the {9-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Lacay tanked for a minute before checking. Obreshkov thought for a minute or two before firing out for 160,000. Lacay tanked for several minutes before making the call. Obreshkov turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Lacay lightly tapped the table before he tossed his cards into the muck.

Obreshkov became the second player of the tournament to pass the 1 million chip count with 1,110,000 while Lacay's chip stack took a hit and was down to 350,000.

Petrushevskii Takes from Hajiyev

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On the heads-up flop of {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Sergei Petrushevskii checked in the small blind and Ramin Hajiyev bet 24,000. Petrushevskii check-raised to 51,000 and was called before the {7-Hearts} turn went check, check.

On the {K-Hearts} river, Petrushevskii checked and Hajiyev bet 87,000. His opponent quickly tossed in a single chip for the call and Hajiyev turned over his {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}, which Petrushevskii had beat holding {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.

Cohen Doubles Through Lamarca

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Sam Cohen opened to 20,000 from the cutoff and Pedro Lamarca called in the small blind to see a flop of {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Lamarca checked, Cohen continued for 32,000 and then snap-called the shove of Lamarca to put herself at risk for 144,000.

The {6-Spades} turn and {K-Diamonds} river failed to improve Lamarca's hand, and even gave Cohen a full house to double up.

After a raise by Janos Kurtosi, [Removed:197] moved all in for around 110,000 from the button and the action folded back to Kurtosi. The big stack from Hungary called and took the coin flip.

The {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Spades} flop improved Kurtosi, and the {2-Clubs} turn and {9-Hearts} river bricked off to eliminate [Removed:198]. Almost at the same time and two tables over, Danut Chisu was also eliminated.

Halme's Three-Barrel Fails

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Antti Halme bet 20,000 from middle position against two opponents in a hand on the stream. Only Friedrich Meyer, on his left, called on the {4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. Halme bet 45,000 more on the {6-Hearts} turn and 115,000 on the {q-Spades} river. Meyer consider about three minutes and then called. Hlme had {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a busted draw, and Meyer showed {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} to take the pot.

After the hand, the stream didn't show Meyer's stack, but it looked to be in the neighborhood of 500,000.
