Van Hoof Doubles Through Petersen

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Jorryt van Hoof had raised and seen Alexander Petersen three-bet to from the button. Van Hoof then four-bet to 12,500.

"You have made it just enough so I can call," said Petersen before he made up the bet.

The flop fell {4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, and Van Hoof moved all in for 18,400.

Petersen gave his decision ten seconds of thought but ultimately called.

Van Hoof held {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for the overpair and Petersen held {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} but had outs.

The turn {3-Hearts} and river {7-Hearts} were not what Petersen wanted, however, and Van Hoof held to score the double up.

Petersen was left with 22,000 but has since found a double up courtesy of David Mezei.

Suarez Eliminated by Vainionkulma

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Arvi Vainionkulma raised to 3,500 from middle position and saw Dany Chidiac call from the cutoff. When the action got to Anton Suarez in the small blind, he raised to 15,300.

Vainionkulma used nearly all of his 30 seconds time bank before he placed a stack worth around 50,000 into the middle, which got a quick fold from Chidiac followed by a call from Suarez.

Vainionkulma: {2-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Suarez: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The flop fell {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}, and Suarez kept his lead with a pair of kings. The turn {8-Clubs} gave Vainionkulma the backdoor flush draw and when the river was revealed to be the {6-Clubs} Vainionkulma hit the flush to steal the pot and eliminated Suarez.

Van Hoof Doubles Through Astedt

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

The flop was down {8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, and David Mezei checked to Niklas Astedt who bet 7,000 after asking Jorryt van Hoof how much he was playing behind.

Van Hoof made the call and Mezei folded before the turn {5-Spades} was put down. Astedt checked, Van Hoof bet 23,600 and Astedt moved all in quickly which was called.

Astedt: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Van Hoof: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Both players had flopped a set, but it was Van Hoof who was ahead. The river {10-Diamonds} didn't bring one of Astedt's outs, and he was made to sacrifice a chunk of his stack to Van Hoof.

Three players went to a {9-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop with the pot already escalated to a huge 75,000.

Niklas Astedt was first to ace and moved all in for around 25,000 before Jorryt van Hoof made a quick call.

"I can now reveal I did not realize there was a raise before me preflop, but I was too tilted to fold" admitted Alexander Petersen while slowly peaking at his hand before he folded.

Astedt tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades} for top set with Van Hoof holding {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a flush draw as well as a straight draw.

The turn {q-Hearts} gave Van Hoff the straight to take the lead, and he cemented the pot by hitting a flush on the {3-Clubs} river.

Astedt departs for the second and final time today.
